  The younger staff do not engage or speak. They are heads down in their phones or talking to other workers. The locker rooms, especially the women's need updating, (showers and bathrooms). The toilets half flush, the seats are worn. There have been two incidents of insects found in the locker rooms. I hope this improves soon.

  Great, affordable gym, but the staff doesn’t always show up on time to open the gym, leaving early-arriving members waiting until they arrive.

  I have been a member here for over 20 years and it has gone down. For the last 3 years, at least, it is so HOT inside every workout area. It's so hot and uncomfortable I can't even stand in the room, let alone actually work out. The A/C is off more than it's on. And the men's locker room used to be kept clean; but now the floor is barely swept let alone mopped, which it used to be continuously through out the day. And I know the YMCA is for families and therefore children, but there are more minors under the age of 18 in the weight rooms than there are adults. This location is basically unusable during the summer because of the unbearable, and honestly unsafe temperature, and the herds of barely high-school aged children every where.

  Easy access from CTA brown line, friendly Staff. Not always cleaned/maintaned well.
