  Where do I begin? I'm in Chicago from out of state with a family member receiving medical care, thought I'd take a yoga class to help ease stress. I have been a yoga practitioner for 20 years and a yoga teacher for 5 years. This was by far one of the worst classes I've even taken. I arrived to the studio and 3 women were around the front desk talking, I gave my name and was told my class was in studio 1. I was not shown where anything was and had to ask where the women's locker room was. I arrived into the studio about 8 minutes early and the studio door was open. There was no welcoming music and all we could hear was the chatter at the front desk. I took the Tuesday evening 8:30 pm class with Alyssa, she arrived late - did not introduce herself, did not explain class type, or room temperature. If I was not an advanced yogi, I would have never followed this class. The sequence was awful with no proper warm up. Alyssa cued only breathwork work exhaling though the mouth, no option for closed mouth breathing. Her inhales/exhales did not match posture movements and were backwards. As for the postures, there was absolutely no cueing for alignment and zero options/modifications were offered. The room was dark and she did very little demoing, the sequence was awkward and confusing. There were only 4 other ladies in class, I left early after another yogi did as well. Signed up for a free week, do not intend on returning. Do not recommend if you're looking for a authentic yoga class.

  I’ve been to many sculpt classes in chicago, but nothing has compared to the energy Jim P. brings to a sculpt class - let alone a 6 AM! The music and his personality made the class flow amazing.

  I'm new to yoga & don't have a ton of time for workouts. You have a wide selection of classes throughout the day. I tried a groupon for another yoga studio but the weekday schedule only had the hot yoga and/or scuplt/power classes at 6:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m Your studio offers different types of yoga throughout the day so I can get the class I need. I took a class yesterday and it was an incredible workout. A friend from my work plans to join this weekend.

  Kelly at the Streeterville location leads such a wonderful Hot Power Fusion class on Tuesday nights. I am definitely not a practiced yogi, but I never feel too out of my element here, and she is always willing to help correct your form if you want the assistance :)
