A yoga studio with a view. (You have to take the elevator by the Best Buy entrance up to the fifth floor.) I thought the corepower class was ok, but the sculpt and strength classes were fire.

I’m usually a fan of CorePower yoga. The last class I went to was not a great experience. This is the only location that uses incenses during class. I went to the 11 AM session with Gerald. The incenses burning during class make it hard to take a deep breath. I can endure the heat. Not the smoke. It was excessive. We are in an enclosed space with the temperature upwards of 90degrees. He lit 2 incense at the same time for the entire class until about the last 10 mins when I politely asked him if he could put it out. To which he gave me a look and said “ you’re the only one who feels like it’s too much and it’s because you need to focus, you’re not receiving the energy you’re supposed to receive”. It was smokey in the room, I was coughing throughout the session, I even walked out for a second to take a deep breath. He still didn’t think to put at least one out. And then tried to make me feel as though not wanting to breathe in Smokey air was dramatic. When class was over another lady walked up to me and thanked me for speaking up. She agreed it was too much. She even apologized for his reaction. So no, I wasn’t the only one who felt like that. I was the only one who said something. After a week of bad air quality in Chicago, it wasn't a healthy choice to have two incenses burning on a hot summer day, in a relatively small hot yoga room with all the doors closed. My chest was hurting after class and I’ve had a dry cough since.
