Why would I see a Nurse Practitioner (NP) instead of a "psychiatrist near me" for psychiatric medications? Often when you search online for a "psychiatrist near me", when you contact them to make an appointment you find that the psychiatrists at the clinic are booked out and that you won't be able to see one of them for months. Nurse Practitioners are often available a lot sooner and they can prescribe the same psychiatric medications as psychiatrists. So instead of searching for "psychiatrist near me" online, just give us a call and schedule an appointment with one of our nurse practitioners. Ardent Counseling Center has nurse practitioners who can help you work through a wide range of problems and life struggles. Our nurse practitioners can help you determine the services that will work best in helping you move through your current situation. Make an appointment today by calling us on (888) 870-1775 or by filling out our Contact Form.

Family therapy near me in the Midwest Family ideally are the people with whom we are closest and most comfortable, for whom we have the greatest love and deepest concern. We ought to be able to count on our family, share our thoughts and feelings with them, and be able to turn to them for support. Our family keeps us strong when we are weak, positive when we are in despair, and gives us the support we need. Family is our refuge. Our most important relationships are often with our parents, siblings, partner, and children. Unfortunately, for many people, family is nothing like the ideal, and is instead associated with stress, anger, disconnection, misunderstanding, and unmet needs and expectations. Even for those whose families are generally close and supportive, things aren’t always perfect, and may even be very difficult, challenging, frustrating or painful. Dysfunctional family? Start making it functional today! Call (888) 870-1775 Families – as those who are closest to us, and have known us so well for so long – often bring up the most intense emotions we experience, for better or worse. Everything from little irritations to buried resentments, from dramatic arguments to feelings of guilt, disappointment and suppressed anger. One of the more unique services that Ardent Counseling Center offers is boutique and concierge custom designed services to meet your individual needs. Another type of boutique service that we offer are our unique retreats, which can be custom designed to meet your unique needs. We offer one on one, couple and group retreats to help you win with your partner, or we can help you create your own customized retreat. Disputes happen. Disagreements between parties are a part of everyday life. Sometimes the nature of the dispute is relatively minor—the classic example being the neighbor's barking dog, although this may not seem like a "minor" problem if you happen to be the neighbor next door! At other times the dispute is deeply profound, as in the case of the dissolution of a marriage. The formal management and resolution of disputes was once the sole purview and responsibility of the court system. Now, however, there is increased recognition that the skill set possessed by mental health providers can be invaluable to resolve disputes in a manner which is more timely, sensitive and cost-efficient than is available through the courts. Methods, which are used to settle disputes in a setting other than a courtroom are often grouped together under the rubric of "alternative dispute resolution." Divorce coaching provided in the course of a collaborative divorce, as well as mediation, are two distinct forms of alternative dispute resolution available through mental health providers. Ardent Counseling Center is a provider of both of these forms of alternative dispute resolution. Get help now.... call (888) 870-1775

What is co-parenting counseling? Co-parenting counseling is when parents who are no longer living together need counseling to resolve their differences for the sake of the care of the children going forward. It is different to relationship counseling because there is no aim to get them to reconcile and to consider living together again. And sometimes they already have new partners anyway. Rather it is to allow them to find better ways to communicate and to set rules for the development of their joint children. Co-parenting counseling is often desperately needed. Your therapist will always make sure to involve all the people involved in the child(s) life (e.g. parents, grandparents, child-minders, step-parents etc). So it is a little similar to family counseling. Sometimes a group meeting helps to make sure that everyone is on the same page about how the children will be disciplined etc. What are the aims of co-parenting counseling? One of the main things is to get each co-parent to agree to not say negative things about the other co-parent to their children. Co-parenting counseling can be a continuation of counseling they may have had to help them to divorce amicably. It can help to keep them working on the best way forward for them as parents. Co-parenting counseling can also help when the co-parents have been through a bitter divorce. There can sometimes be a lot more work required to settle remaining differences so that they can then work well together as co-parents. Need co-parenting counseling? Start making it work today! I have been helping a friend get set up with therapy at Ardent, but have found it to be extremely frustrating to work with the organization. We’ve have two Telehealth appts scheduled now where the therapist never showed up. We were never given an email or phone number to contact the therapist to see what happened. We called the main line and they weren’t able to share why she didn’t show up, nor could they guarantee that she would show up for the next session. They also said they could not give us the therapists email address. We will be finding an organization that provides clear communication and a level of competence in their work with clients.
