  I called ahead specifically for adult autism testing and diagnosis and was told this is a service they provide. Based on that, I scheduled and spent about $100 on Lyft rides to get there. I was there for nearly four hours, and it became clear no one understood I was there for a diagnostic evaluation. The assessment felt extremely generic and surface-level, with no explanation of what was being done or why. They then sent in an occupational therapist, which made no sense for a diagnostic appointment. He gave no direction, and I had to repeatedly ask what he needed from me. There was no clarity about the purpose of that time at all. Afterward, I was told I would see a nurse practitioner next, who may or may not do autism testing. No clear plan, no explanation of the diagnostic process, and no indication of who would actually diagnose. I was also told they would call me to schedule once the nurse practitioner returned from being sick. That was two weeks ago, and I’ve heard nothing. The entire experience felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and unprofessional. I came in for a specific service, was told they provide it, and instead got a vague intake process with no clear path forward. This was a complete waste of time and money.

  Never called me back said there was a waiting list and that they would keep in contact to see if I was still interested someone called 2x in a 3 month span apart from what they said which was they keep in contact every other 3 weeks but I found a better place is anyone needs a place that accepts Medicaid then you should check out the gentle caress definitely won’t make you feel neglected or abandoned

  These people do not take mental health seriously. After addressing my mental health issues. I still have not received a therapist it has been weeks now. I feel like they don’t care sadly i won’t be back. If you wanna be taken seriously for your mental health issues just avoid this place.

  This type of mental health care has been needed in the community for a LONG time! The owner is an amazing BLACK woman who has a personal desire to help people with mental health conditions! They accept insurance and are VERY accommodating. If you’re looking for mental health services, look no further!!!
