I had an extremely unprofessional experience with Meyer Eye Care. I repeatedly had to call just to receive my medical records and contact prescription, which should have been provided without issue. While I was in the office asking for them, nothing was mentioned about additional charges, but after I left and called multiple times, I was suddenly told I had to pay for my records. The billing department was rude and seemed more focused on collecting extra payments than actually helping patients. Even though I had full coverage insurance, I was still pressured into paying unnecessary fees and never properly received new glasses. Nor was I able hear the results of any of my test. Aside from being told I’m at risk of going blind with no solution but to come back to them and pay 4k for “their” surgeon. The doctor’s behavior and comments also felt inappropriate and stereotypical. There were racial undertones throughout my experience, including assumptions being made about my ability to pay before my billing information was even discussed. Overall, the practice felt dismissive, unprofessional, and exploitative rather than patient-focused.

Dr. Ingelse, Yissel, the students, the intake crew, the techs...literally everyone...they are amazing. We just switched over to Meyer Eyecare and we could NOT BE HAPPIER!! They are kind, informative, helpful, and are very reasonably priced. We are going to be a member of the Meyer Eyecare family for as long as they are around!!

My sister referred both my husband and I because they were running a promotion “refer a friend or family member and get $50 off your next pair.” Mind you I have been going to the same eye doctor since I was a child, but we decided to give it a shot. The whole process took 3 hours, unnecessary scans of my eyes, and over priced glasses. We ended up with a $600 bill even after amazing vision insurance. For reference the place I usually go to I spent $200 for Prada glasses, the exam, and 6 months of contacts. Here I spent $300 on basic glasses and an exam. Not worth it at all! What puts the cherry on the top is that my sister did not get the referral promotion. They made up any excuse they could to not give it to her. “You used insurance”, “her last appointment was last fall”,”she needs to self pay,” she needed to give you this card with her information that we barely received. It’s safe to say we won’t be returning to this overpriced place.

I had a great experience at my recent visit. Dr. Jill is incredibly nice and personable, and she always makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. She takes the time to explain things, puts you at ease, and truly cares about her patients. Highly recommend!

I've been going here for years The eye doctors are wonderful, but the receptionist Krystal was horrible. I was not aware that they were not taking my vision insurance for up to a year ) I went in there today to purchase glasses for my daughter. I always pay out-of-pocket but today I was sent away only because they no longer take my insurance ! I take my whole family here and was very disappointed on the way I was treated today. ( discriminated ) I would probably never return to this location by the way I was treated. They really need to trainedthe receptionist in the front desk with better customer service and better appearance. I explained to her I was only there to purchase glasses I was going to pay out-of-pocket for my daughter to have glasses Because she really needs it But it's OK. I would probably never return. I hope management sees this review and take it into consideration
