One of the most pleasant experiences I've had with an eye appointment and getting new contacts. The person who I spoke with on the phone was incredibly helpful getting things setup and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly (I wish I got her name)! On top of that, at the location everyone was lovely and helpful, especially the eye doctor Christine who was meticulous about making sure I got the right contacts and that everything fit well. Her personality and professionalism made the entire process smooth and comfortable. Would absolutely go out of my way to go to this location if I'm in the Chicago area.

The larger woman was very rude and disrespectful. When I first came in, I asked if I could check something through Smart Shopper and she responded with a rude tone and said no.
After that, I waited a long time by the cash register to order a pair of Ray-Bans while two other associates were helping one customer and nobody acknowledged me or offered assistance.
When I finally tried to place my order, the associate seemed frustrated and bumped the iPad twice (around 4:40 PM). The manager should review the camera footage. I left very disappointed because I expected better customer service.
I always thought LensCrafters had good employees, but this experience changed my impression. I hope management addresses this so future customers receive better service.

Went in for an exam for contacts and was told if the trial didn’t work out to call back in and Dr. would update the script with astigmatism. I already picked up my order before completing my week with the trial pair. I called in and spoke to a store associate explaining what Dr told me. She instructed not to open the order and then told me she’d talk to the Dr and get back to me. That was on 5/13/26 and I’ve yet to get a call back. I called in today and they had no record of me calling and said I’d have to come in and do my exam again. I guess clinical notes are not detailed enough because grey have no record of Dr mentioning it. They couldn’t even find my account by my date of birth either. Will never return to this incompetent location.

I had a great experience at Lens crafter! Danielle was able to help me get a new pair of glasses and helped figure out all of the pricing with me to find the best deals! To make life ever better she was able get my glasses for me the SAME DAY!! She has the glasses and lenses in stock and went and put them together for me! Very friendly and kind. I definitely recommend.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
