  I booked a class through ClassPass during my lunch break and unfortunately arrived a few minutes late. I walked into the studio at 12:06 PM, largely because parking was limited due to the studio sharing a lot with several neighboring businesses. When I arrived, the front desk associate, Olivia, informed me that the studio has a strict 5-minute grace period and that I could not be admitted to class for safety reasons. While I may not agree with the policy, I understand that policies exist for a reason. My main issue is that this policy was not disclosed anywhere in the ClassPass listing or in the studio information I reviewed beforehand on the ClassPass app. There is information about bringing grip socks, water bottles, and how to prepare for class, but nothing indicating that arriving even one minute beyond the grace period would result in being denied entry. Had I known this in advance, I would have planned differently or at the very least not spent 40 minutes in travel time to and from the studio. What made the experience more frustrating was the lack of flexibility or alternative solutions. The only accommodation offered was to mark me as present so I would avoid a late cancellation fee, but I still lost my ClassPass credits and was not allowed to attend. When I asked whether I could simply reschedule the class, that request was also denied. I’ve attended classes at other Club Pilates locations and have had much more positive experiences. This location left me disappointed, not because of the policy itself, but because the policy was not clearly communicated and there seemed to be no effort to help find a reasonable resolution. If you plan to visit this studio, make sure you arrive well ahead of time, as even a minor delay could result in losing both your class and your credits.
