They used to be great. Not sure what changed but I no longer recommend this place at all. I received a chair that tosses me out of it at the slightest bump. The back of the chair was so bad for me that the doctor had me remove it. I can’t use any of it and was already desperate for a new chair. I have tried to communicate with them about it and found no response. Go anywhere else but here so you can get the correct equipment required to be safe and healthy.

John Morris came and set up my stander chair.. he was excellent. He was super friendly and very considerate of everyone especially me in the chair with my blood pressure.. He was very detailed and wanted to make sure that everything about the standard chair was set up perfectly for me.. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was correct.. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to come and set up my stander chair.. Thank you very much John for what you did and making us feel so comfortable about the chair and setting everything up perfectly for me.. Much appreciated

National seating and mobility has been an absolute pleasure to us!! We’ve had to make a huge life adjustment that we were not prepared for and having them here to help us with getting a power chair for my mom from start to finish was amazing! We had John throughout our experience and he is amazing to work with and very detailed when it came down to showing both of us how to use and adjust the chair! Highly recommend!!

Frequently Asked Questions About National Seating & Mobility
What makes NSM the preferred choice for obtaining mobility solutions?
At NSM, we are uniquely positioned to search hundreds of sources for the precise components needed to create a chair that is made specifically to meet the needs of each client. Each chair can be designed for maximum comfort and ease and will provide the specific therapeutic benefits prescribed for you by the health care team. But what really sets NSM apart is our approach. We work from the heart, honoring your journey of independence with efficient, friendly attention that puts your interests first. This is our life’s work—to help others move through life—and we take it very seriously.
How can I work with NSM for my mobility needs?
National Seating & Mobility is a member of your rehabilitation health care team. We work with your physician, nurses and therapists to provide a one-of-a-kind mobility solution customized to your needs and preferences. Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
The choice of a wheeled mobility supplier is yours. Discuss your decision with your physician and therapist.
