Annual eye exams are a recommended cornerstone for ensuring the health of your eyes. In addition to checking for changes in your vision and updating your prescription, we will also look at your overall eye health, internally and externally. Prevention and early detection are keys to maintaining healthy eyes, as some eye health issues have no immediate symptoms but can still cause damage if left untreated. That’s why regular check-ups are critical.
I had a very disappointing experience at this office, specifically with the owner/manager Hector. Before any exams were started, I repeatedly asked for clarification on what my insurance covered and what my out-of-pocket costs would be. I asked when making the appointment and again while filling out paperwork at the office because I had just recently received my insurance cards in the mail. Despite repeatedly asking, no one provided clear information about coverage, copays, or optional charges before proceeding with multiple exams.
When it came time to choose glasses, I was told that blue light and additional lens add-ons were “prescribed” and could not be removed, even though I only wanted basic glasses and my prescription. I later learned many of these upgrades were optional, which felt extremely misleading and pressured.
After finding out I had a copay, I explained that my husband had my card because he had gone to pick up our daughter from school and I had been dropped off. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Hector became rude, condescending, and disrespectful. He called me irresponsible and said I was wasting their time. He repeatedly complained that he had to “do extra work” to find my insurance coverage, despite the fact that I was willing to provide any information needed if it had simply been communicated properly from the beginning.
He then shared a personal story about how, when his baby was born, a doctor took them to a clinic that their insurance did not cover and they were forced to pay out of pocket. He used this story to lecture us and told us we should “know our insurance plans beforehand and be responsible,” even after I had already explained multiple times that I had asked about coverage in advance and was never given the information I requested.
When my husband arrived, Hector continued arguing with us in front of others, blamed us for insurance issues, and spoke to us in a belittling manner. The entire interaction felt unprofessional, uncomfortable, and financially manipulative.
Patients deserve transparency about insurance coverage, optional charges, and treatment recommendations BEFORE services are performed. I left feeling misled, pressured, and disrespected rather than cared for as a patient.

Eye doctor was great but the hidden agenda to charge an elderly man for glasses is wrong especially when I am on state insurance I was not happy with that. And they will charge the state for what? And I still didn’t get my state insurance prescription glasses I cannot afford 500 dollars for glasses. I was treated unfairly. Being an elderly

Most professional, thorough eye exam I've ever had! Dr. Feiz is kind, very knowledgeable, and did an excellent job of explaining everything. She also helped me out with my dry eyes. Carlos and Aymer made testing easy on the wide array of equipment. Mary helped me choose the perfect glasses and sunglasses.

The staff were great. The doctor was friendly and thorough. The office is clean and well maintained and in an easily accessible location.
I took one star off for two small reasons. One is that I had been going to LensCrafters for many years before and was using a specific brand of contacts that they were unable to provide at this location, though they did say they could still order them for me.
The other reason is that I got a text message about 30 minutes before the appointment asking me to please bring a contact case with me if I was wearing my contacts. I thought this was a bit odd because I feel like most places usually have extra cases if you need one, and I was already out running errands and hadn’t thought about this so needed to stop home at the last minute to grab it. That information would’ve been nice a little bit more than 30 minutes before my appointment, but it’s also not the end of the world.
Overall good experience.
