Going to Wellspring Chiropractic is always a great experience. As soon as you walk in the door you are always greeted by your name and it makes you feel welcomed. Everyone there is easy to talk to and personable. I have been going here for several years and I have never had a bad visit. The adjustments are great and I always feel better afterwards. I encourage anyone looking for a reliable Chiropractor to go here.

I came to Wellspring because my knee was hurting so bad that just walking caused me to be in extreme pain. One acupuncture & adjustment session later, the pain was gone! I couldn’t believe it! I suffered with that pain for 3 months. I was loading up on over the counter drugs. And then, just like that, voila! The pain is gone! If you’re in pain, get to Wellspring so that you can get back to living your best life ever!

This was a very off-putting and disappointing experience. My husband and I wanted to try acupuncture to address the side-effects of IVF treatment. That is what we mentioned when we made our appointment. Jenny told us that she was going to email us the new patient forms, which we never received. She also stated that each acupuncture session was $70. Next, she assured us that the initial consultation where the acupuncturist would come up with a treatment plan was free unless they do x-rays. Today (the appointment day) we went in early to do the paper work. When we inquired as to whether we would receive an estimate for services that they plan on rendering, Jenny responded with “it could be $60 or $100 if you have insurance, but if you are paying out of pocket the doctor determines the cost - it can be $100, $200, $300, I would not know because I am out front.” She however restated that the initial consultation was FREE unless they do X-Rays. After these wishy-washy answers, we were a little skeptical as to what to expect.
Next, while entering the premises, there are signs and business cards in the front lobby and the front door implying that Dr. Kim, a board certified acupuncturist works at their location. We thought we would be seen by Dr. Kim as we explicitly specified that we are going in for acupuncture. However, Dr. Pam walked in. She was a very nice person. She made us feel comfortable. But then, she stated that she was not a Doctor of Acupuncture, but has had extensive training in the field of acupuncture. Another thing that felt a little off was that she wanted to do X-rays on me after we mentioned the IVF cycle. When my husband relayed his concerns about X-rays impacting my eggs, she responded with "that is a good question. Lets not do the X-rays then."
We decided to speak to Dr. Kim hoping to have more clear answers, and to gain an understanding of his approach to acupuncture and choose our provider based on who we felt comfortable with. Dr. Pam and Jenny kindly called Dr. Kim who came to the office 15 mins later to see us. This is when things started progressively getting worse.
Dr. Kim was unempathetic, had bad bed-side manner. When we asked him what his approach to acupuncture was, and about his experience, he said that he has questions for us first and he will tell us more later. He started asking questions related to oriental medicine and trying to figure out a treatment plan. He said that he is going to treat us for a long time and had no understanding about IVF whatsoever. He said that he had a lot of couples who ended up with children after he treated them, and wanted to give us herbal medicine. He initially did not understand that we did not want to do it since we are going through IVF and don’t want any interactions. He finally relented after we explained that I have to take many injections as part of the IVF and that I don't want herbal medicines. He then got annoyed at us for wanting to leave the facility so I can go home and take my IVF injections in a timely manner!! He then started to force us to make an appointment for next week. We just wanted to get out and told him that next Tuesday might work for us. He said "ok, but you have to pay me now for this consultation". He said that he was NOT related to Wellspring Chiropractic and that he was an independent acupuncturist. When we told them what Jenny had told us, he started haggling with us. He initially wanted us to pay $200 for spending time with us, the said $160. When we told him how we don’t appreciate the bait-and-switch, and we wanted to cancel, he said that today will be free and we can just pay him for acupuncture sessions starting next week. We asked to speak to Jenny or Dr. Pam only to learn that they just left us alone with him without even letting us know that they were leaving for the day!! He then tried to tell us that today was no charge and that we should come back on Tuesday. We are not going to return.

Dr. Pam Fernandes is not only a great Chiropractor, but a kind and caring person. She makes sure all is well with every patient before they leave. My hips, shoulder and middle back are better with her holistic practice.
