All I needed was an itemized receipt to submit to my insurance company. I was told that there was no way to email me a receipt and that I would have to come into the store in person to get one. LensCrafters is not a small mom-and-pop business, and it’s 2026. I’m honestly shocked that a business of this size does not have the ability to email a customer an itemized receipt. I can send an email from my five-year-old phone, but somehow a major retailer cannot provide a simple receipt electronically? I rarely drive in that direction, especially during normal business hours, so asking me to make a special trip to the store for something that should easily be handled electronically is extremely inconvenient. For this reason alone, I will need to consider taking my business elsewhere. In this day and age, I expect a company like LensCrafters to have basic technology and customer service capabilities that make things convenient for its customers.
