I was hesitant to start pilates because of my own preconcieved ideas about it. I wanted to strengthen my body without putting an excess amount of stress on it and be cognizant of my injuries. Pilates was reccomended for me. I finally got the courage to go. It has been a pleasant experience since I first stepped foot in the door. The front desk staff are friendly, fun, genuine and uplifting. I decided to jump all in and attend 5 days a week.
I have been to several different beginning level classes with several different instructors and have been impressed with each one. The instructors are skilled, knowledgeable, attentive and professional. They check in with each student every time to make sure they are aware of any health challenges that day so they can suggest modifications to the moves if needed. They keep the class flowing so that no time is wasted. They help you get the movements correct so you can strengthen your muscles in the most effective ways and they are patient and accommodating when you need it.
There is a learning curve as you learn to use the equipment and how to breathe and utilize your muscles, so the workout can be as challenging as you make it while youbprogress to the harder levels. Some days I need to go easier on myself than others.
The others in attendance are friendly and if you want to meet some new people and make new friends the opportunity is available to you, or you can simply go in, do your thing and be on your way. What ever works for you. There is a sense of community and opportunities each month to connect with others in fun ways if you choose to participate.
Overall, I'm highly impressed with Club Pilates off Amity and grateful i finally decided to give it a try.

Club Pilates Amity is great! Front Desk staff is friendly and welcoming. The instructors are all excellent, offering clear instructions and varied routines in their classes. The studio itself is very clean and well appointed.
I’m a relatively new member (just took my 20th class ), and am now taking 4 classes per week. I’m already getting stronger, more flexible, and have a lot more energy. I actually enjoy exercising now that I’ve discovered Pilates. It’s been a game changer for me.
