My husband had been in back pain for the last 20 years with several surgery's Dr Mccowin was the greatest back doctor I have ever seen. Very awesome to talk to always made time to answer our questions his staff was amazing and we were never put on hold and they was able to schedule our appointment right away. After surgery fusing his back my husband was back to work within 6 weeks because of the way Dr Mccowin was able to help him. Thank you summit orthopedics for making his life (and mine!) so much better!!! I will tell everyone I know to come to him.

I agree about the staff. They (Linda) has done that to me, too. It's nearly impossible to get them to help you the first time around, and completely impossible to get a call back. They interrupt while you are trying to tell them your issue, click off and put you on hold while you are talking...Then transfer, transfer, answering machine. Don't even bother leaving a message, you won't get a call back. They had some test results of mine for over 2 weeks and didn't bother calling. I finally got in, and need surgery. This is a week later, and they still haven't called to schedule, even though they have had the approvals for 5 days now. I'd fire the entire administrative staff and start over with people who know how to give customer service. I gave them 2 stars only because they brought me in when I threatened to go to the emergency room over my pain...that they were supposed to be figuring out to begin with.

We had heard great things about Dr McCowin ,so we decided to give them a try when our 3yo broke his arm. We ended up getting Dr Griffith and we were not impressed. I have never written a poor review, but the way my son was treated is unacceptable. He had some special drawings on the cast (plenty of room was left to cut the cast from either side) But it was almost like he he cut through the center of them on purpose. My son said "you are cutting my pictures " The doctor said "yep" my son said " can I have a second to tell them bye?" .... the doctor said "I don't have time for that"..and finished cutting. This little guy was crushed because a doctor didn't have 5 seconds to spare. .Kids should not be scared or sad to see doctors. They are already having a rough day. There are some amazing kids doctors in our area ... I hate to say that this one will never again see our business

I would not even bother - the staff at his office are jerks and it is impossible to even get an appointment. I called one day to set up an appointment - after being put on hold for 10 minutes, the woman came back on and said they were slammed but took my name and number and said they would call me back. Four hours later they still hadn't called so I called again - they had me on hold for 20 minutes before I finally had to hang up to take a work call. Third time's a charm right? NO! I called at 5 minutes to 5pm in hopes they would have time to talk to me. Linda answered and I asked to make an appointment, and she told me Mr. McGowin was gone for the next three weeks. I told her I wish someone had told me that the first two times I called - she then thinks she puts me on hold and starts talking trash about me to the other receptionist. Worst customer service ever! I'll be driving a half hour out of my way just to avoid dealing with these rude people again.
