As an important part of St. Luke’s bariatric surgery program, our bariatric registered dietitians provide personal pre-operative as well as post-operative nutrition counseling to maximize your opportunities for successful weight loss and weight loss maintenance. We regularly lead support groups in addition to directing cooking and bariatric lifestyle classes. A physician referral is necessary for all appointments. It gives the dietitian the medical information needed to plan an appropriate and individualized counseling session and is also required for insurance.
