I'm going to start by saying. I have been a loyal target optical customer for a long time. I get my contacts and glasses at this location and I have taken my daughter here as well. I have had excellent customer service. One of my favorite employees is Alma. She is very friendly and helpful. Let's me know all of my options. My last visit I was super disappointed. My son was getting his first set of glasses. My insurance does not cover glasses or contacts, I let Steph, the optical employee know this right away. Just as an FYI. My son found his glasses and we sat down to order. This is where I feel frustrated or almost duped. Steph stated the the Ray Ban glasses, came with ray ban lenses and we discussed the extra cost for the replacement. I always opt for replacement plan so I knew that cost. She provided me the total and started explaining how long it takes to receive the glasses. The total was higher than anticipated. I asked about coupons and she stated there was a buy one get one 30% off the next pair. We weren't in need of a 2nd pair and that would increase my cost regardless. I asked if she could note what my son had chosen in the system and stated I was going to shop around. Then instantly she states here, let me switch the lenses to a generic lenses and apply this coupon. Which brought down my total nicely. Outstanding. That is my frustration. She only offered coupons when I was getting ready to walk away. She didn't provide me options for different lenses when i asked about coupons. Yes, I understand sales... but this felt very deceitful. To come full circle. Alma was there when my son's glasses came in. She helped ensure the fit and vision were perfect. She was incredibly friendly, as always. Thank you Alma.
