  I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Maurisha Taylor, PA-C. This was a second-opinion appointment because I am still experiencing symptoms and wanted to have my concerns evaluated again. Instead, I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and honestly made to feel stupid for even coming to the appointment. From the beginning, I felt like I had to justify why I was there because I had already been evaluated by another provider. I was questioned about why I wasn’t following up with the original doctor, and the overall interaction made me feel as though there was no reason for me to seek another opinion. I completely understand that a provider may examine me and determine that nothing concerning is wrong, disagree with what I believe may be causing my symptoms, or recommend another specialist. That was never my issue. I’m grateful that nothing concerning was found. My issue was the way I was made to feel while trying to advocate for myself and ask questions about symptoms that I am still experiencing. I was also disappointed when I reviewed my patient care summary afterward. My reason for visit was listed as “none recorded,” and the discussion note also said “none recorded.” The actual concerns, explanations, and recommendations we discussed during my appointment were not included in the summary I received. Patients should not be made to feel foolish or like they are wasting a provider’s time simply because they want a second opinion or still have questions. Being medically correct does not automatically mean you provided good care. Unfortunately, I would not feel comfortable seeing Maurisha Taylor again.

  Rude as hell. The Black lady that does the check-in for Dr Young. Rude as hell. Tried to explain, my provider sent over referral to STk locatio, due to distance of Buckhead. She folded her arms. When questioned stated “ she was cold”. No ma’am. You was rude. I’ve notified Humana not to sen any patients to Dr, . Young’s office, as long as she’s the receptionist.
