I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at Pearle Vision in Sandy Springs. I was Hoping to find a new look and sales manager, Quinton, expertly selected several frames to compliment my face. The quality of the frames is very good. They sit perfectly.

This place is a ripoff. Quoted me a price to replace the lenses in two pairs of glasses, just to replace the lens mind you, of $474 per pair. I’m getting that done from another company for $125/pair. Unbelievable!

I called last week to request a copy of my prescription be emailed to me. The person who took my call did not ask for my name, email address, or phone number. He simply told me that I would receive a link to sign up for the patient portal. When I asked if he needed any of my information, he said no. It's now been over a week, and I never received a link or any follow-up communication. Thankfully, I was able to locate my prescription on my own, so I no longer need it. However, I felt it was important to leave a review because the experience was unprofessional and frustrating. Better communication and follow-through would have been appreciated.

Dr. Bonds was great! She’s done my eye exam before. She’s professional, polite, friendly, easy to deal with, laughed at my jokes, a true professional. Apparently, she is independent of the people who sell the contacts and glasses and run the store. On my last visit, those people were delightful as well. Other than Dr. Bonds, this trip to Pearle was very disappointing, actually offensive. I felt extremely disrespected. When I entered the store, a man that I later learned was the store manager, was sitting at the far table, looking at his phone, and mumbled “How can I help you?” when I walked in, without even looking up. When I said I was there for an eye exam, he pointed at Dr. Bonds’s office, again without looking up. Having run several businesses, I was shocked. Truly SHOCKED! It was insulting and disrespectful. I was planning on having new lenses made for a pair of titanium frames I had, as well as buying contact lenses for the next year, I believe it was a $700 or $800 purchase at minimum. When Dr. Bonds was finished with her exam, we went to the front counter for me to pay for the service. The counter printer was out of paper, and when she reloaded it, it still wouldn’t print for some reason. She was having to speak in a loud voice across the store to the manager, still with his nose in the phone, obviously seeking help with the printer. He almost ignored her after the first several exchanges. Then he begrudgingly re-entered my paperwork, without getting up off his butt or his nose out of his phone, so it would finally print. Shocked again, disrespected and annoyed. And I was embarrassed for Dr. Bonds. Then I was informed it was he who would have to help me with my glasses and with my contacts. I said “no thanks, I’ll get my glasses in contact somewhere else.” That was the first time he reacted at all, and he obviously didn’t care if I went somewhere else, but he mustered the enormous strength to look away from his phone, look up and say “I can help you with that.” I felt grossly disrespected as an insignificant annoyance from the moment I walked into Pearle. Having been responsible for many operations, a couple of which I actually owned, it disgusted me, and I was upset by the time I was leaving. I told him “No, no need, I don’t want to disturb you.“ Then I left, without the contacts and glasses, the main reason I went in the first place. He could obviously care less. Vision centers are all over Atlanta and it’s a highly competitive business. In my advanced years, I go to the places where my patronage and money are appreciated and not expected, certainly not entitled to the facility. I WILL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR MY CONTACTS AND GLASSES, even if it’s more expensive, which I doubt, from now on. Not only did this lazy, entitled “ Manager” cost you the sale, he cost you my future business (Unless Pearle steps up and does the right thing*). My only regret with the entire situation is that it is hurting Dr. Bonds’s business as well. I won’t be back because of his arrogant and pitiful attitude, and poor service - actually no service and actually interference- and, unfortunately, that probably means I won’t be back to Dr. Bonds. My friends and employees and clients typically rely on my recommendations. Should I be asked, I will not be referring Pearle, and I will explain why. * When I say “does the right thing, I mean, dealing with this blight up upon your business. Offering me something free or something like that for my “inconvenience“ would be further insulting and further disrespecting me.

My experience with the doctor with was fine. However, my experience with the employee who priced out a pair of glasses was not good. My glasses were quoted at just over $1,000 and after insurance was applied I was told the price would be $900. My EyeMed policy is much better than a mere $100 coverage but I was told that was an accurate price and that "things have gone up." I declined, left and went directly to Target Optical where they had the same Oakley frames and I had the Oakley lenses configured exactly as I did at Pearle and it was $490 AFTER insurance. So either Pearle has exorbitant price points or the employee did not apply my insurance correctly. Either way, I won't be going back to Pearle.
