Our clinics are designed with fun in mind! Your child will find toys and activities for every type of play, in addition to learning materials that support their development. Each clinic is equipped with classrooms, play rooms, and eating areas that mimic traditional preschool or daycare settings to support your child in building the skills they need to succeed in other environments.

Our home programs are designed to support your child’s success in their most natural environment - your home! Home-based services involve the whole family to work on skills like communication, play, and self-help. Helping your child generalize their skills from the clinic to your home is critical to our mission of working together to reach your child’s potential.

Based on your child’s needs, our services can be tailored for delivery in community environments like daycare or private preschool to facilitate your child’s participation alongside their peers. We also support outings into the community, such as trips to the grocery store or participation in group activities like karate! Community-based services further our mission and prepare you and your child for life after early intervention.

What Is ABA? “Applied Behavior Analysis” Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. At Dogwood, ABA involves careful design of learning opportunities that motivate your child. Our application of developmentally appropriate goals provides your child with individualized opportunities to expand their skills for communication, play, social interactions, and school readiness in a natural environment. We consistently monitor your child’s program and their progress, and we make regular adjustments to keep your child on track to meet their goals. Early Signs of Autism The autism diagnosis age and intensity of autism’s early signs vary widely. Some infants show hints in their first months, in others, as late as two or three years of age. Not all children with autism show all the signs. Many children who don’t have autism show a few. That’s why we recommend a professional evaluation as early as possible. This list of early signs may indicate your child is at risk for an autism spectrum disorder.
