Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Amy in the pharmacy on Columbia road in Augusta GA was unprofessional, inappropriate, and just plain rude. I went to pick up my medication and Amy proceeded to tell me her opinion about my medications on my profile and what one would assume about me. I asked her what assumption? She just said the medications would lead one to assume. Again I asked her what assumption. She was so passive aggressive. She never would tell me what assumption. I ask her if she need me to go over my profile and tell her each diagnosis went with each medication. She said that was not necessary because it was clear what the diagnosis was. I asked her to share her assumed diagnosis with me but I can only assume, it is hard to talk with your foot in your mouth. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt that it is easy to make a mistake but the condescending tone she used to tell me my profile would lead one to assume then not tell me what it made one assume she needs to be gone. I hope this review gets her terminated or at least not talking to paying customers.

I will be contacting the Georgia Pharmacy Board regarding a specific pharmacist from this location. My child's doctor is contacting the Georgia Pharmacy Board as well. If a pharmacist could diagnose patients, they would be a Physician and would not need a prescription written by a PHYSICIAN, but as we all know, they are not. No pharmacist can tell me how to treat my child's condition over the physician who has known him since birth. If Amy Rodgers wanted to be a Physician-which is a person qualified to practice medicine. Pharmacists-dispense prescription medications and provide information to patients about the drugs and their use. Also, this pharmacist failed to provide a location with the medication she called herself refusing to fill even with this exact medication and dosage being filled for years at another location in GA for the same company. Not only did this happen but also tried to diagnose my child with medication he cannot take and is on file. Sadly, all that work in college did not teach her that extended-release supplies a dosage equal to what has been prescribed to my child. If KROGER Allows this unethical behavior then the company also needs to be investigated.

2022-03: After being a customer at this pharmacy for a couple of years now, I've had pretty decent experiences overall. The staff has been pleasant and I've never had an issue with them working with my doctor, who is out of state. They've always had my medications in stock and they have no issues with honoring my utilizing GoodRx.
2021: I've always had a pleasant experience here, from the day I transferred a prescription, to having the pharmacy team communicate with my doctor to avoid issues, and just a dealing with a staff that understands customer service, whether be drive thru or in store.

The staff is friendly and there's a Starbucks in the building you can wait at while they fill your prescription.
