Glad to see the same Dr again as I’ve been seeing him for about 14 years. The exam was great and the staff was very nice. The price for a pair of glasses is quite expensive. Much less when they were made in-house.

To Whom It May Concern, I would like to respectfully express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to Pearl Vision and my consultation with Dr. José Gonçalves. I sought medical documentation regarding my permanent vision loss in my right eye, a condition that has existed since 2011 following severe medical complications that resulted in optic nerve damage and permanent monocular vision. My intention was simply to request a medical statement reflecting my long-standing condition and its impact on my daily life. While I respect Dr. Gonçalves’ professional judgment and understand that physicians have discretion regarding the documents they provide, I left the appointment feeling frustrated and discouraged after my request was declined without what I felt was a clear explanation. In addition, I was troubled by certain interactions during the examination process. Because of my visual impairment, I require patience and clear communication when being positioned for testing. On several occasions, I felt that my face was handled more forcefully than necessary while staff members were assisting me during the examination. I also experienced comments and interactions that I perceived as insensitive. At one point, staff members began speaking to me in Spanish after previously communicating in English. Whether intentional or not, the manner in which this occurred left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, particularly because it appeared that assumptions were being made about my ability to understand what was being said. As someone living with a permanent visual disability, I believe that all patients deserve to be treated with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. The combination of being denied documentation of a condition that has affected my life since 2011 and feeling misunderstood during the examination process made the experience especially difficult. My purpose in sharing these concerns is not to create conflict, but rather to encourage greater awareness and sensitivity toward patients with visual impairments. I sincerely hope that my experience may help improve communication and patient care in the future. Respectfully, Genilson Santos

The staff will charge an extra 5% for paying with apple pay. They did not disclose the additional fee before charging it.

I went into Pearle Vision to get my new pair of glasses. I had the eye exam, and while the Dr. did a great job of determining my new prescription, he wasn't exactly very friendly, which was a bit off-putting. I got my prescription and shopped around for glasses, ordered a specialty pair from a different vendor that would take a month to arrive. I decided to go back to Pearle to order a pair for everyday wear. The gentleman who worked with me on the order did an excellent job of taking the order and saving me money on the glasses. I was told 1-2 weeks for delivery. I am writing this review over a month later and I still don't have my glasses after a store associate contacted the lab and gave a specific date it would be in store. That date came and went and I called them again to ask about it and they said they would call me. They didn't call back that day or the next business day either. Pearle Vision, this is the customer experience you are providing and the lab you use for producing the glasses is part of your operation. You need to hold them accountable for delivery dates. You also need an escalation point for problems like this one. As it turns out, my specialty glasses have arrived and I'm still waiting for my glasses from Pearle. UPDATE: 5/29/2026 - I still don't have my glasses. Next step will be to go into the store and demand a refund since they don't seem to be able to deliver the product. UPDATE: 6/2/2026 - I still don't have my glasses. I called the store and spoke to them, they said they were supposed to be there today, but they aren't. I told them if I don't have them by Friday, I want a refund. A general manager is supposed to call me back.
