Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Cashier Melody has really terrible attitude, she was fixing her personal stuff at the cashier register counter, when I interrupted her she gave a really bad face.

Don't even ask the people behind the counter to do anything other than hand you your prescription. When I asked the young lady to help me find the right item on the shelf in the pharmacy area, all she could say was 'everything we have is right there on the shelf'. There were many products and brands and I just thought that they might have a better understanding of the products and strengths, so I stood there for another 15 minutes looking around, still never found what I was looking for so I left, meanwhile they watched me and never once lifted a finger to assist, even after I asked for assistance. Unbelievable. Go work at somewhere that you do not have to deal with people.

Happened on 4/18/18 - I have been going to this Kroger store since it opened and was extremely pleased with everyone including the pharmacy until I ran into someone who was an absolute horses-ass. Since I just transferred over from Kaiser after 27 years to United Healthcare, I was not use to the procedures of ordering prescription though my doctor United or Kroger. I had questions on how to have a prescription filled since I was out of this drug (Dorzolamide 2%). United Healthcare Optumrx had been out of this drug for three or more months so they directed me to Kroger for the second time. I talked to a women at Kroger Pharmacy several times asking what I needed to due to get the drug but she stated I had to wait 38 days for a new subscription. She was not a friendly person at all; really one of the worse I had encountered in years like she did not have time to answer stupid questions. I told her I needed the drug now since I was out, but she could care less. I ask her several times, what do I have to do to get the drug? I then left a message with my doctor office I was having problems and would he re-issue my prescription for three bottles for 90 days instead of two bottles for 90 days. In the meantime, I called United Healthcare and talked to one of their representatives. He said "don't worry" and we tried several times on a conference call to call Kroger Pharmacy but no one would answer. The third time he called the pharmacy finally answered the call and the same women said she could not talk to the representative since the phone call came in on my line and she could not talk to him because the call came in to the pharmacy from ME. Yep, so she was not answering our calls since they were coming from me and I had stupid questions. Yep again, she didn't have the time to talk to or help a senior citizen and a veteran at that. She said "the representative had to hang up the call and call her back directly to their number instead of on a conference call or whatever we were doing." The United Healthcare representative tried to explain that he made the call but that went out the window. Somewhat embarrassed like I was, the representative said "he would hang up our conference call and call back". I never heard back from the representative or Kroger and still do not have my prescription.I did hear back from my doctors office today 4/19/17, and that they would handle the situation.
Like I said, this is all new to me since being with Kaiser for 27 years and not having to worry about all of the players in the game of getting one of my prescriptions processed.
Thanks for your time.....
