I had a great experience on my first visit to this dental office . the dental hygienist gave me a tour of the facility. She then explained everything she was planning to do. Dr. King took the time to discuss my dental situation and to listen to my concerns. My thanks to the staff.

Normally I don't take the time out of my day to post negative reviews. However after my daughter's recent experience on May 11th 2026 I believe people should be aware of how the front office staff handled our first appointment. After receiving the 21 pages of forms to fill out prior to visit. I noticed it States that they are not in network with our Dental Insurance. I called the office for clarification as I had been told by previous receptionist over the phone that they are participating. During this 3rd phone call prior to visit again was told that Dr. Ivan participates with Aetna Dental and to "DISREGARD THE NOTATION IN PAPERWORK THAT SAID OTHERWISE." IN addition to having been lied to by both the Office Appointment schedular and the Office Manager that our insurance was accepted in NETWORK. I was told to not bring the x-rays from our old Dentist office that had been taken at her 6 month check-up and cleaning. I asked why because I didn't want to have my daughter x- rayed unnecessarily again so soon and possibly charged if not covered by insurance. The Office Manager Kathy stated we do not accept other Dentists x-rays because a lot of times we can't read them and our office ALWAYS takes our own anyway. She went onto say insurance would cover the problem area visit not to worry about being charged. We showed up for the Monday May 11th appointment and as I sit in waiting area keep hearing hygenist that took my daughter back to be seen come up to front desk area and ask which tooth is the problem? Then the office staff said we need the x-rays to know for certain. At this point I went up and said I don't understand what is going on. I called in advance to bring the recent x-rays from old office and was told NOT TO FOR THE REASONS ABOVE.???? Then was told that was NOT CORRECT INFORMATION GIVEN TO ME OVER THE PHONE. In fact that "person" was let go and no longer works here. I said how are you going to treat the problem if you don't even know which tooth it is. Don't worry we have already taken an x-ray and found no cavity.??? Huh???
I then needed to step outside for a moment to take a business call. When my daughter came outside and said they just charged my credit card. I went back in the OFFICE MANAGER KATHY said you signed the paperwork and this is what you would be charged no matter what. Nothing made any sense whatsoever I told them that had I not stepped out to take the call I would never had allowed my daughter to give them payment. Then Office Manager Kathy said after we get your payment from your insurance company we will issue a $50 refund check. I placed a call to my Dental insurance company was told that they are OUT OF NETWORK but still paid a portion of the out of network charges. After being told the office is not in Network as I was told. I called Office Manager Kathy who stated the Dentist Dr. Ivan who is in Network was not there and my daughter was seen by another Dentist Dr. King who DOES NOT ACCEPT OUR INSURANCE. Kathy then stated there is still an outstanding bill of over $60 that needs to be paid in addition to the $145.80 check received by insurance and $75 credit card charged to my daughter. How is this even legal? Lied to numerous calls and or not given correct answers to my questions about in Network Participation and the need to have our recent x-rays brought to new office to identify the problem tooth. The office hygenist took a "GUESS" as to which of my daughter's teeth should be x-rayed and Dentist said no cavity found. How can these people be allowed to get away with any of this. PEOPLE BEWARE THIS OFFICE IS EITHER AS CORRUPT AS THEY COME OR COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. Either way formal complaint is being filed against Sweet Spot Smiles in Locust Grove Ga. Outrageous, nasty office staff Kathy office manager yelled at my daughter that she should know which tooth has the cavity. Lord in Heaven this office needs a complete overhaul in staff.

First time patient and I’m blown away by this place! I’ve been at the same dentist since I was a kid, my hygienist retired and my last 2 appointments were not good. So I decided to look around for a new office. First phone call the receptionist was so kind and informative. I loved receiving the paperwork electronically and being able to complete ahead of time. Once arriving it was just as expected. Beautiful office, staff was awesome, and I left feeling great! Definitely recommend!!

This is the worst dentist office I’ve ever been to. Thank God they’re building another 1 minute down the road. Service was ok when I first started going, but the fact that I needed a root canal and the dentist didn’t get all of my roots out first try and I was in excruciating pain for the next month until I finally found the courage to go back and he tells me it was his mistake and he’d have to go back in and take out the remaining root. On top of that they charged me an outrageous amount for their own mistake. Consider other options.
