  Dr. Houghteling is extremely professional and very meticulous about his work. His level of care is unmatched. He takes the time to explain every aspect of his exam and what the various tests show about your eye health. I trust his judgment and feel very blessed to have him as my eye doctor. Denise Fuller, store manager, is equally as professional and helpful in the area of helping with the choice of good eyewear, complete with frames, lenses, no-line bifocals, etc. along with getting insurance information plugged in. She was extremely helpful and invaluable. My overall experience with Pearle Vision Center was great. All of the employees were so pleasant and helpful.

  It’s been a month now since the glasses were ordered. Was told to come pick up in two weeks. Been calling since - no glasses. Every time someone answers - they place me on hold to go find just where the glasses are, nothing comes of it and they say they’ll call back. Zero call backs at this point. Had to reschedule driving test for daughter twice now. Decided to go in person at 2 pm on a Tuesday - they are closed! Outside of their posted business hours. No notice anywhere. This place is not real.

  I love this place! Doctor is very thorough and staff is very helpful in selecting frames that are right for me.

  The reviews had me a little on edge but honestly this place was pretty solid! I made my appointment through their website and got a call the day before to confirm that I was still coming. The day I got there my appointment was at 4:30 so I arrived at 4:15. Paperwork took maybe ten minutes and I went back about 4:50. That's pretty average waiting time and even then the optometrist was very apologetic but I didn't mind. I had Dr. Houghteling, he was absolutely amazing— very quick and professional! He answered all of my questions and was super informative about what he saw in imaging and told me things to look for with my eye sight in my day to day. After my appointment it was $40 for the doctor. the ladies at the front helped me pick out glasses. one of them grabbed a few options for frames based on what I said I liked. I'm used to other offices trying to get you to buy like $300+ frames but all of the options she gave me were maybe $120-$170. the other lady helped me pick between the 2 pairs I was really eyeing at and She gave me different price options for my lenses, wasn't pushy about getting anything I didn't need. overall it was a pretty splendid appointment and I would definitely go back. I get my glasses in a couple weeks and I'll try to remember to update my review from there on. glasses update: the office called me to schedule a time in the day to pick up my glasses about 3 weeks later. glasses fit great, my prescription is correct and I was in and out in 5-10 minutes!

  I went to My Eye Dr to get glasses last time because of insurance. I will never do that again. I would rather pay completely out of pocket. I will return to Pearle Vision in St Marys Georgia as long as Dr. Robert Houghteling works there. He is the best!
