Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Krogers pick up groceries is ridiculous in Covington on Hyw 278. There are about 8 parking designated spots to pickup on line ordered groceries, I circled around about 4 time to get a parking spot, out of the 8 vehicles parked there, only 2 vehicles were picking up groceries, 5 were parked with no personnel in them. As I was circling I stopped behind one of the parked vehicle in a designated pickup grocery spot with personnel, I got out my vehicle knocked on her window and asked her "are you picking up groceries" her response " no I just waitng to pick up someone who went in to shop, but I can move". I then said "I have been circling to find a spot because I have to pickup groceries from an on line order. She said I can move, I said okay, she said I can move over into the other spot, which was not a designated spot for grocery pick up. Now, it was hottttttt outside, pollen heavily blowing every where and I have circled so many times to get a pickup spot for groceries and you can now move over, at this time I was "HOT". I then got back into my vehicle waited until she moves so I can get that designated parking spot for what I was there for. I mean all those other parked and left vehicles were all using a pickup grocery space that others cannot use. Now if a person with a disability or elderly or whom ever come to get there pickup groceries they now have to wait or circle around until whom ever get back to there vehicles. Very inconsiderate and shameful to those people who were parked there. That needs to be regulated some how so that those designated pickup parking spots are used appropriately. Im sure this is not the first time this has happened. I choose to pickup my online groceries order between 1-2 pm, did not get a message saying they were ready, i just happen to go back and look in the app and it said my order was ready for pickup up. The employee who brought my groceries out said; this type of apple you ordered was not available so it was substituted for this other type, is that okay. I told him no, I don't want that other type of apple, he said okay, i will take it of and you won't be charged for them. I said to him, dont they send a message out to customers asking weather or not it's okay to substitute any part of you order if said item is not available. He then said, they have been telling managers that customers are complaining about those problems and nothing has been done.

Staff is SO RUDE. They are slow and don't seem to really care how long the line is. Medication called in two days before still not ready when picking up. I think they need a new staff and pharmacist!
