  I do not understand for the life of me why asking questions seems to be an issue. It is my money. And if you cannot find out if my insurance is going to cover a procedure ahead of time or not, then you shouldn’t be in business. I went for Botox once and inquired about a growth close to my eye. The doctor said to her receptionist, make an appointment for her to come back and do this. I made sure that I called their office and made sure they had my insurance and ask if my insurance would cover it. They told me I would have to come in because they did not know what the doctor would want to code it. I go in I pay my $75 co-pay a doctor hadn’t seen before comes in and she cannot tell me still if my insurance is going to cover it. I don’t know how the dermatologist work or what they’re going to code as procedure I certainly don’t want it to be considered surgical and I would have had pry approval from the insurance. I’m trying to explain this to the doctor and all she can do is talk fast and tell me she’s not into the insurance part of it. She just does procedures. And she kept calling me, sweetheart. No, Doctor Ashley I’m not your sweetheart. And when you sit up and say listen, I don’t know how your procedures work, but I need to know if my insurance is going to cover what you think needs to be done now. That’s the whole reason for the appointment. But instead of looking at it and saying, we will find out if the insurance will cover it or not for you and give you a call like most professionals would do. She dismisses me. I literally had to go and ask what are we doing next? Why because I ask that they not already checked with the insurance?? one doctor had already seen it so why would they not know the procedure code? Why are you people in business? Are you so used to people just coming in and doing procedures without knowing if their insurance will cover it or not but you act in salted if we ask questions, do you not understand that it is our money that we are having to pay for this with??? you act like I’m supposed to be educated in all of your dermatology procedures And I should know what is covered and what isn’t. Have you never heard of a consultation where you explain what needs to be done you call the insurance you find out from the procedure code. You’re going to use if they’re going to cover it or not and then tell me how much my out-of-pocket is.??? Is that something you cannot handle? It is just ridiculous.!!!! And I do not feel like you should be in business!!!!

  Ashley is one of the nurses there and she is awesome! She made me feel welcomed and comprehended my financial concern from the beginning. She is fast and takes her time to explain to you what treatments you need and how to use them. You can definitely tell she loves her job! This place is great.

  I was very satisfied w my first visit w Dr. Joseph Overton. The staff/nurses were great; everyone & himself made me feel comfortable, they explained in depth and answered all my questions. I look forward to coming back!

  I've been going to Dr. Overton for over a decade now. He's an incredible dermatologist and always does an exceptional job. He is kind, caring, professional, and always makes the visit fun. You can tell that he cares immensely about his patients and their well-being. He is very positive and always optimistic. I wouldn't see anyone else. Christy is the staff member who always takes good care of me. She is incredibly kind and fun. Everyone else in the office is always kind, helpful, and treats you like family. After I moved to Atlanta a few years ago, I continued to see Dr. Overton and Christy because of their exceptional treatment. I now live in Santiago, Chile but won't see anyone else. Dr. Overton and Christy have provided top care to me and my family for years now, and I plan to continue seeing them for years to come.
