The Peer Recovery and Respite Center of Augusta is a peer-led, peer-run alternative to traditional mental health day programs and psychiatric hospitalization. The Center does not accept referrals--all guests are here voluntarily and have the opportunity to participate in recovery and wellness activities, access resources, and receive peer support. There are four private bedrooms in the Respite Building, where qualified guests may stay up to seven nights every thirty days. All services at the Peer Recovery and Respite Center are provided free of charge to participants. The Center is person-centered, recovery-focused, and grounded in whole health and wellness.
