Wonderful service! Came in for an exam and had a pleasant experience! Erica, Jamel & Deqwinn helped me with selecting frames and which lenses would be best for me. I will definitely be back soon!!!

I had a very disappointing experience at this LensCrafters location. I came in intending to purchase glasses and presented my prescription when asked. Instead of taking the time to carefully review it, the employee immediately became dismissive and repeatedly told me it would be "illegal" to use it because he didn't want to risk his job.
My concern is not with LensCrafters' policies. If my prescription could not legally be used, I completely understand that. My concern is the employee's attitude. He did not take the time to review the document properly, explain the policy respectfully, or offer any alternatives, such as scheduling an eye exam or discussing other options. It felt as though he had already decided not to help me before our conversation had even begun.
Unfortunately, I did not get the employee's name. To help identify him, he was a Black man of average height with a beard and no mustache. I hope this description helps management identify the interaction.
As a customer, I expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and dismissed, and I chose to take my business elsewhere.

Absolutely Terrible Experience — Zero Professionalism
I don’t even know where to begin. The service here is an absolute disaster. I walked out with my lenses and received zero documentation — no receipt, no order confirmation, nothing proving those lenses are even mine. That alone is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the staff can’t even agree with each other. One associate told me I could switch from single vision to progressive lenses. Another flat-out said no. Which is it? How can customers make informed decisions when your own employees don’t know your policies?
The salesperson was completely clueless — unable to answer basic questions and clearly untrained. This is not a minor inconvenience; this is a fundamental failure in customer service and basic business practices.
I would not trust this place with something as important as my vision. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually knows what they’re doing and treats customers with basic respect.
Would give zero stars if I could.
Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters at Macy's
How do I know if my child needs glasses?
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
