I really hate to leave bad reviews, but this experience absolutely warrants one.
I came into the store and ordered three pairs of glasses. I was able to leave with one pair the same day. Later, I received a text message stating that my other two pairs were ready for pickup. Based on that notification, I drove an hour and a half to the store after working all day, only to arrive and find out that both pairs were not ready—and the one pair that was supposedly ready was not even correct.
To say I was frustrated is an understatement. I drove an hour and a half because your store notified me that my glasses were ready*. After wasting my time, gas, and energy, the only thing I was offered for the inconvenience was eyeglass cleaner. Are you serious? Gas is expensive, and it takes a lot of effort to make a three-hour round trip after working all day. Eyeglass cleaner does not begin to address that inconvenience.
Unfortunately, this was not even the first issue my family experienced with our order. My oldest daughter ordered Meta Ray-Ban glasses, and she also received the incorrect glasses. We ultimately decided to keep them only because she did not want to go through the process of returning them and waiting for another pair. She had an immediate need for prescription glasses, so waiting even longer simply wasn't a reasonable option for us. The fact that her order was incorrect as well makes this entire experience even more concerning.
The situation became even more frustrating because I had already updated my address before leaving the store during my initial visit. I vividly remember writing my new address down and handing it directly to a representative.
After leaving the store following the unsuccessful pickup, I called and requested that my glasses be mailed to me. Initially, the representative told me I would have to pay to have them shipped, even after I explained everything that had happened. I asked to speak with a manager, and thankfully, the manager approved having the glasses mailed to me at no charge.
Something told me to call back and verify the shipping address—and I am extremely glad I did. The address they read back to me was still incorrect, despite the fact that I had already updated it in person. I had to provide my correct address for a second time.
Now, here we are almost two weeks later, and I have received absolutely no communication, no tracking information, and no update regarding my glasses.
At this point, this feels like more than one simple mistake. Between my daughter's incorrect Meta Ray-Ban glasses, my glasses not being ready after I was specifically notified to pick them up, one of my pairs being incorrect, my address not being properly updated, and nearly two weeks passing without any communication regarding shipment, there have been far too many issues with one family's order.
Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that. What I don't understand is the lack of communication, attention to detail, and meaningful effort to correct those mistakes. Customers should not have to repeatedly call, verify information, make unnecessary trips, and chase down products they have already paid for.
I am highly disappointed with the customer service and overall handling of this experience. At this point, I simply want my correct glasses, tracking information, and clear communication about when I can expect to receive them.

LensCrafters knocking it out of the park AGAIN! This time the new Northlake Mall location. Customer service ON POINT, Matthew is an absolute gem and a pleasure to work with. And loves “nerding out” with me on talking about restoring old frames. Truly up on styles and so sweet.

This was my first purchase of two pairs of glasses, and they gave me such a great deal! The staff made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, and my frames look amazing. Nathaniel and Janelle helped me out so much and were both very friendly, patient, and helpful. I truly appreciate the great customer service and overall experience. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend them!

Benn waiting 2 months for my prescription frame paid over $587 and was told that the Sales associate person took down the wrong adjustment for my frames. Told that my friends would be back in seven days. It’s been now 30 days today. I supposed to pick my glasses up if my glasses are not there or not ready I’m just gonna ask for a refund. Ask, could I get the Meta glasses and exchange for the frames that I brought in was told that I had to pay a difference which was another $100 to whit I don’t understand. I paid over $587 for my friend. Why would I have to pay another $100 for the metal frame when the metal frame is not costing but $487. Super disappointed in LensCrafters I don’t think I’ll be shopping here again for my glasses nor exam the exam was over $150.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
