Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Used to be a great spot but now they also have armed security at the door with 2 total brain cells. Dude went through all my bags arguing with me saying “says there’s only 23 items” Guess what There was 23 items. Harassment at its finest. Another Kroger lost to us. Please go out of business 😪

I’ve been trying for two days straight to check on my prescriptions, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. The automated system is terrible it keeps transferring me back to the main store, and I can never get through to the pharmacy directly. When I speak to store staff, they tell me the pharmacy doesn’t answer the phone and even admit they sometimes have to physically walk over just to get their attention. That’s unacceptable. I need my prescriptions, and I can’t even get in touch with anyone for an update. This is not my first bad experience, but it will definitely be my last. I will be transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy moving forward. No matter how busy things get, answering the phone for customers especially those waiting on important medication should be a basic priority. I’ve now been without my medication for two days, and it’s affecting my health. This situation needs serious improvement.

Sad to see this pharmacy deteriorate. It’s become unreliable. It has a lot to do with the online system which the local staff don’t have control over but the pharmacist also makes NO effort to acknowledge or own the fact that the pharmacy’s failure of service results in folks having to go without medication they rely on. Here’s a tip for how the pharmacist could have responded that would have made a world of difference: “I’m sorry we dropped the ball. Our online pharmacy sometimes switches refill orders from ‘in progress’ to ‘request refill’ without notifying the customer, despite having given them a date and time when their prescription will be ready for pickup without ever notifying the customer. It’s when we don’t have inventory. But it’s bad service. That’s on us. I will reach out to corporate about this but here’s a number you can also call to let them know.”
