- IBImari BainesJul 29, 20261.0My experience with “Doctor” Mark A Epstein and “Nurse Practitioner” Vanessa Gail Manzie was extremely disappointing. During my child's appointment, I felt that both providers showed very little concern, compassion, or effort in addressing our concerns. Rather than taking the time to thoroughly assess the situation, I felt the issue was dismissed with an overly simplistic diagnosis that did not reflect what was actually happening. What was especially frustrating was that behavior was suggested as the cause of the problem, despite the fact that my child exhibited no behavioral issues during the visit. Instead of listening carefully and asking questions to better understand our concerns, I felt our observations were overlooked. A healthcare provider should make patients and families feel heard, respected, and confident in the care they are receiving. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I left the appointment feeling dismissed and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and thoroughness. Based on my experience, I would not recommend these providers and would encourage others to seek care from someone who takes the time to listen, investigate concerns thoughtfully, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
