Today I visited LensCrafters on 1813 W, New Haven Ave (US 192), West Melbourne, FL 32904. The visit was a total pleasure from arrival to departure. The admission clerks, the nurse practitioner, Dr. Walter herself and a gentleman named Lou in the Frame and Lens section were all very personable and treated everyone like a family member. You don't see this kind of interactions in many places. No wonder they are booked solid months in advance. Keep up the good work. Thank you!!!

1 year ago was my first and last experience with LensCrafters. Chose a Ray Ban rimless $430 frame . Within 1 week one side kept coming apart and I would be attempting to fix it without best sight. I returned twice and mentioned it both times and received a non response from manager and salesperson. So I have spent an entire year with the most expensive frame I have ever purchased and it falls apart weekly. My time has come to purchase a new frame and I will not be choosing lens crafters . I spent my entire career in sales and the most important mark of building loyal customers is not so much the sale but addressing and correcting issues that arise.

Second time at this location and thought Veronica was professional, friendly and helpful. However, store manager and oculist, Guillermo tried to scam me- so be careful! During my most recent visit, because now they use the Ipad to show your the itemized cost of your glasses, which they only show it to you for 10 seconds max, where you are not able to take time to read and understand the charges, Guillermo had added all the extra features, like anti-scratch, anti-reflection, etc, etc, etc, every charge pretty much on his own. The cost of my glasses with insurance came out to ~$260. It was only after I asked to see the Ipad again and asked him to go over each charge that he removed all the additional features to my glasses, the cost went down to $50 total. I called him out on how he appeared devious and lacked transparency given he did not go over any of the charges with me and automatically added them without getting my approval. He tried to give me a lame excuse about it. But I thought this was very devious, especially coming from the store manager. But that tells you the nature of this place. So be careful- when buying prescription glasses, ask for them to review each charge with you- they were not fully itemized on the Ipad either, i had to ask them click in each category (like lenses) to uncover each charge specifically. Warning you may be scammed and overcharged here!

Julie was especially helpful and efficient in fixing an issue with my new sunglasses. I've been using this LensCrafters for a few years now as it is always nice to walk into, try frames, and discuss options.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
