- FVFrank ValdésAug 22, 20261.0Unacceptable treatment, zero patient autonomy, and extreme unprofessionalism. visited the LensCrafters location in Bradenton simply to get a refraction exam for new glasses. Upon arrival, I was asked to sign medical forms and discovered they were attempting to perform unauthorized medical procedures—including a retinal scan, pupil dilation, and eye pressure test. When I clearly stated that I only wanted a standard refraction exam and refused any invasive medical tests, the receptionist bluntly told me that I do NOT get to decide which procedures they perform on me. When I pointed out that this was no way to treat a patient, she rudely told me that if I didn't like it, I could grab my paperwork and leave. Patients have the absolute right to informed consent and to decline unnecessary procedures. Forcing unwanted medical tests onto customers and responding with vulgarity and contempt when challenged is completely unethical. Save yourself the frustration and take your business to an eye clinic that respects its patients.
