  As both a physician and a patient, I can honestly say that Dr. McConnell and the entire team at Private Eyes Optical in Tequesta are outstanding. My family and I have trusted Dr. McConnell with our eye care for years, and I couldn’t be happier with the care we’ve received. Dr. McConnell takes the time to get to know each of her patients personally. She never makes you feel rushed and performs an incredibly thorough eye examination while taking the time to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about her patients and treats them like family, not just another appointment on the schedule. As a concierge family physician, I refer my own patients to Dr. McConnell for their annual eye exams and optometry needs because I have complete confidence in the quality of care she provides. I know they’ll be treated with the same compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail that I strive to give my own patients. Her front office staff, Chau and Julie, are equally exceptional. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel welcome. They’re friendly, respectful, professional, organized, and always willing to go the extra mile to help. They truly make the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Private Eyes Optical also has a fantastic selection of eyeglass frames and sunglasses, with options for every style and budget. Whether you need a routine eye exam, contact lenses, new glasses, or sunglasses, you’ll be well taken care of from start to finish. If you’re looking for an optometrist who still practices old-fashioned, patient-centered medicine—where you’re treated like family instead of just another number—I cannot recommend Dr. Lori McConnell and Private Eyes Optical highly enough.   Came to Dr.McConnell with a stye less than 48 hours before I was scheduled to leave for a 2 week trip abroad. She was super knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. She was able to give me drops, plenty of travel self heating eye masks (loved them for the plane and where I didn’t have access to a microwave for my other eye mask) eye wipes and most importantly a quick antibiotic prescription. It was a rather large stye but after a few days on antibiotics the swelling and pain was significantly improved and my stye was healed before the end of my trip! Thank you Dr. McConnnell!
