Brian Witt, DMD, a life-long resident of Tampa, received his dental degree from the University of Florida in 1995. After receiving his dental degree, he joined an existing dental practice that he made his own in 1999. - CTCHRIS TRACEYAug 13, 20262.0Make sure you see a written estimate before the work is done. I was told it would be $1500 to pull a tooth. I thought that was high but I was told by the DR. my insurance would reimburse half. That was after I was told they excepted my insurance and they did not. I was there anyway and I thought it was expensive for a simple extraction but I had them do it. I called them later that day to get a itemized bill because I never got it when I left. I found out they charged me $850 for a bone graft that I was not aware of. My insurance company said that was not mandatory so they refused to pay for it. So out of a $1500 bill I got reimbursed $34. Basically I got screwed!!! I am not complaining about the service just the fact what I was told and what I had to pay. FIND OUT WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR before you have anything done!!! They definitely are in it for the money!!!
- TTTomAug 13, 20261.0I would not recommend coming here. Their billing practices are different from what I’ve typically experienced. Rather than collecting your copay, they require you to pay the full amount upfront and state that your insurance company will mail you a reimbursement check after the claim is processed. I was told they do this because they don’t want to have to contact patients later to collect balances. The overall experience also felt very sales-focused. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
