I’ve spent a lot of time at this JCC over the past several months, and what makes this review so disappointing is that the issue was never really about basketball. It was about how quickly the atmosphere changed in a way that made our group feel like our presence was no longer appreciated. My friends and I came in as paying guests, week after week, paying the guest fee every single time and using the facility the same way anyone else would. We paid, played basketball, and left. That was it. So to suddenly face facility rule changes that effectively prevented our group of paying guests from continuing to play after months of being welcomed through the door was both confusing and disappointing. What was once a space where we could gather, fellowship, and enjoy a game we all love turned into a place that did not make us feel welcome after months of accepting our money. Nothing about our behavior changed, but the way we were approached did, so it was hard not to walk away feeling singled out. At that point, it stops being about basketball and starts being about the kind of environment a place creates for the people who walk through its doors. Based on our experience, we won’t be returning.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. My friends and I had been coming here regularly to play basketball, paying the guest fee each time and respecting the facility and its staff. We enjoyed playing here and had every intention of continuing to support the gym. Unfortunately, our most recent visits completely changed our opinion. The issue wasn’t that the facility has rules—every business should have them. The problem was the way those rules were selectively applied and the lack of professionalism shown in addressing us. It was difficult to understand why expectations had suddenly changed after months of visiting without incident, especially when no clear explanation was provided. What stood out most was the customer service. Instead of feeling like valued paying guests, we were treated as though our presence was an inconvenience. A respectful conversation could have resolved any concerns, but the approach taken was unnecessarily cold and confrontational. Consistency matters. If policies exist, they should be communicated clearly and enforced equally for everyone. When that’s not the case, it creates an environment where customers question whether they’re being treated fairly. It’s disappointing because the facility itself has a lot of potential, and we genuinely enjoyed playing here. However, the experience with staff overshadowed everything else. Respect should never depend on whether someone is a member or a guest who has consistently paid to use the facility. I hope management takes a closer look at how guest interactions are handled. A positive facility is built not only on its amenities but also on the way people are treated. Based on our experience, we’ll be finding another place to play.

For months, my friends and I regularly paid the $20 guest fee to play basketball at the JCC without any issues. That changed when staff suddenly enforced policies inconsistently and in a way that appeared to single out our group, with little explanation and an unnecessarily confrontational approach. As paying customers, we felt unwelcome, disrespected, and treated unequally despite our continued support of the facility. We hope management improves communication and applies policies fairly and consistently, but based on this experience, we will not be returning or recommending the facility to others.

For months, my friends and I have been coming to the JCC to play basketball as paying guests. Every single visit, we paid the required $20 guest fee, respected the facility, and never had any issues. That suddenly changed. Without any meaningful explanation, it felt like the rules were being changed specifically to discourage us from continuing to play. After months of welcoming our business, the treatment we received was completely different and, frankly, disrespectful. Instead of communicating professionally, staff approached the situation in a way that felt targeted and unnecessarily confrontational. What made the experience even more disappointing was the inconsistency. Policies that had never been enforced before were suddenly applied in a way that appeared directed solely at our group. Whether intentional or not, the treatment left us feeling singled out, unwelcome, and on the receiving end of unequal treatment after months of being paying customers. We came to compete, have fun, and support the facility by paying every time we walked through the door. Instead, we were met with an atmosphere that felt hostile and dismissive. No paying customer should be treated that way. I hope management takes a serious look at how guests are treated and ensures that policies are communicated and enforced consistently and respectfully for everyone. We will never return and will proactively prevent anyone we know from making the same mistake of giving these people business.

We love it here! Our family joined about three weeks ago and have found everyone so warm & friendly. The kids club dealt with my crying kiddo beautifully & with so much patience! The facility is clean & we love the splash pad. The service is also so great. When the AC went out (briefly) everyone was working HARD to solve the problem - passing out water & cold towels. THANK YOU!
