I called two days ago and was told that my glasses were being shipped and that my prescription pair should arrive on Monday. I really hope this is accurate, as I’d prefer not to experience the delays some previous customers have mentioned.
That said, the service during my visit was excellent. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. From Dr. Thiel to the cashier, Marco, the team made the experience pleasant.
I’m crossing my fingers that my eyeglasses arrive soon, and I won’t have to wait too long. I’ll be back to provide an update once I receive them—stay tuned!

I am with Preserve Vision Florida, a local nonprofit that provides vision screenings, eye exams and glasses for children whose families are in financial need. We are able to assist these families, free of charge through generous funding and partnerships. One of those partnerships is the OneSight program at LensCrafters around Tampa Bay.
One mom, Mrs Vanegas, who only speaks Spanish, requested us to translate a review on her behalf. “My daughter was referred to LensCrafters at International Plaza to order her new glasses. I am very thankful for the friendly and helpful staff that assisted my daughter picking them out. I also want to thank the manager, Kathy, who gave extra attention to my daughter. We will be always grateful for the free pair of glasses my daughter got to help her succeed in school.”

Had an AMAZING experience. I’ve been coming to this lens crafters for frames and prescription sunglasses for years. The store manager Kathy is always amazing! Her and her associate Leon are very helpful and helped me pick out some frames. Everyone is friendly and attentive. They fix my frames too when they get bent out of shape. This location is my go to for all things eyewear!!

Blake was so patient, knowledgeable & helpful! He made the whole experience painless and enjoyable. He took his time and skillfully adjusted my glasses so they sit on my face perfectly. Thank you!

Outraged — Avoid This Location If You Use OneSight Program!
My family had a terrible experience at this location on Saturday. The store manager, Kathy, displayed a complete lack of professionalism and basic customer care.
Pushback and fake rules because of the OneSight vouchers: Kathy claimed, "they don't do OneSight on weekends" because it's too busy (our paperwork has zero restrictions).
Dismissal Tactics: She tried to get rid of us by telling us to walk around the mall because of 30 minutes waiting or we can wait. When we chose to stay, she had us stand off to the side without any queue numbers or turn-tracking.
Blatant Deprioritization: She and her staff repeatedly ignored us (because of her) to serve paying retail customers who walked into the store well after my family.
Gaslighting: After a long wait, when we confronted her about her dismissive attitude, she flat-out denied her own words—despite my entire family hearing exactly what she said.
Kathy clearly cares more about sales metrics and commissions than treating people with dignity. Making children feel like second-class citizens just because they are using a charitable program is disgusting. Avoid this location!
P.s.: I don't remember the name of the gentleman helped us but he provide us an excellent service!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
