Dr. Benson, whom is a long standing Sarasota Psychotherapist and Counselor, works collaboratively with other local therapists in Sarasota to offer comprehensive marriage, couples and family therapy as well. Dr. Benson works with Individuals, Couples and Families. Dr. Benson specializes in the treatment of trauma, grief and loss, body images & eating disorders, anxiety, depression, phase of life issues, and disorders of the self. She is also an approved addictions provider for Major League Baseball.

- JCJenny CMar 25, 20261.0years ago I left a public review about my experience with Kim and she had her lawyer threaten me to take it down, and then flooded her reviews with everyone she knows to drown out my voice and now she is doing it again..You will notice she will all of a sudden have many 5 star reviews right now because I have spoken up again, do not fall for this, this is her, a therapist, doing what she can to invalidate and silence harm she caused. I REFUSE to be silenced by Kim any longer. She harmed me in an extreme way, never acknowledged or apologized, and wants me to be quiet and wants to save her image, and I will not abandon myself any longer. I’ll never forget or let Kim forget how she treated me in my darkest hours as my therapist. She left long standing damage and had I known that’s what I would be left with after taking the risk to get help I would have never walked in her door. Despite her nearly 100 5 star likely fake reviews that include her friends and family instead of all actual clients, take it from the one person standing alone trying to speak up. Most therapists don’t even have reviews due to privacy and hippa, you’re not witnessing someone who’s just that amazing at her job, you’re witnessing someone trying really hard to convince everyone she’s good. It took me years to come forward and years to report her to the FL board of health who did validate and take action against her. Luckily I found other therapists who treated me like I was supposed to be treated, and gave me strength and my voice to speak out about the abuse. Please take caution in selecting a therapist. The relationship is too sacred.
