I am submitting this review on behalf of my wife, who has been dedicated to practicing Pilates for over twenty years in various cities. She made the decision to join Club Pilates two years ago and has been a loyal member ever since. One of the main reasons she enjoyed her time there was because of Kaitlyn, the manager, who always displayed professionalism, warmth, and exceptional customer service. The instructors at Club Pilates were also a highlight for my wife, with Krystal being her favorite. Krystal's classes were always in high demand, showcasing her expertise and professionalism. As an experienced Pilates practitioner, my wife truly valued and appreciated Krystal's classes. It is with great disappointment that we recently learned that both Kaitlyn and Krystal are no longer with the studio. My wife is now in search of a new Pilates studio, recognizing the significant loss of these two outstanding employees. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of having top-notch staff, and this departure is undoubtedly a loss for Club Pilates downtown. - JT
I have been a member of Club Pilates for nearly three years, and for most of that time, I have genuinely enjoyed being part of this studio. However, some of the recent changes have been extremely disappointing and have made me reconsider how I feel about continuing my membership in the future.
One of the people who made my membership truly worthwhile was Krystal. She is, without question, one of the most dedicated and talented Pilates instructors I have ever met. Her passion, energy, professionalism, and commitment to her clients were exceptional. I am someone who was willing to wake up at 5:00 a.m. and drive 30 minutes twice a week specifically because her classes were worth it. That says a lot about the kind of instructor she is. Learning that she is no longer with Club Pilates, and hearing about the circumstances surrounding her departure, was incredibly disappointing.
I was at least comforted knowing that Katelyn was still there as the manager. Katelyn has always been someone I could reach out to whenever I had a concern. She listened, helped, and consistently made me feel valued as a member. More importantly, she treated the studio as more than just a workplace. Her commitment, confidence, and genuine care created a sense of community and made the studio feel like home. Today, I learned that she has also left, and I am truly saddened by it.
I would like to offer one sincere piece of feedback to the ownership: loyalty matters.
You can hire new instructors and bring new people into the studio, but constantly replacing familiar faces comes at a cost. As a loyal customer who pays for a membership every month, I value consistency, quality, and relationships. I want to feel that I am part of a community. When I have a concern, I want to see people I know and trust—not constantly changing faces.
There was also another instructor, Alana, whom I remember as being extremely talented, and I was disappointed to hear that she had experienced difficulties as well. These are the kinds of instructors and employees that a business should work hard to retain.
Not everyone can be an exceptional Pilates instructor. When you find people who genuinely love what they do, care deeply about their clients, represent your brand positively, and treat your organization as if it were part of their own family, please value them. Treat them fairly. Listen to them. And do everything you reasonably can to keep them.
Krystal and Katelyn were a significant part of why I remained such a loyal member of this studio. Losing people like them does not only affect staffing—it affects the member experience, the sense of community, and ultimately customer loyalty.
I am genuinely saddened by what has happened, and unfortunately, these changes will influence my own decisions regarding my membership going forward. I sincerely hope the ownership takes feedback like this seriously and reflects on how organizational decisions affect not only employees, but also the loyal members who have supported this studio for years.
