  My dad actually found Home Instead/Honor because they have an office located in Punta Gorda. He was looking for options of caregivers that were close to his home. When it came time that we needed their help, they were wonderful about setting up the initial meeting at the rehab facility and then coordinated having someone there to drive my dad home when he was released. My sister and I do not live close by so having this assistance was very important. They established a consistent team of caregivers for both daytime and overnight so that my dad became familiar with the faces coming to his home. There was only one instance with a weekend caregiver that didn't 'fit' and after I gave feedback, Home Instead managed the situation and found a replacement. My case manager communicates clearly and regularly with me to keep me informed on any changes or issues that are happening with my dad. It is such a relief to have capable and caring people taking care of my 88-yr-old father.

  What a terrific outfit! I had to go in the hospital for an extended time (turned out to be 19 days) and leave my home and disabled wife alone. The neighbors (even the generous ones) couldn't give her the round-the-clock care she needed. So I had to get a professional company. I didn't know anything about Home Instead except for their advertising, which I found appealing. I phoned for a meeting. They sent Sandra Bellanca to explain things to me. I was impressed with her knowledge, competence, and responses to my many questions. She also LISTENED. She said at the end of our first meeting, "Let me come back with a detailed plan." She did. Her plan included several care options, each carefully costed out (to the penny!). We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of each and involved my wife in the planning. We chose a plan, made the financial arrangements, and then did the thousand tiny logistical details (e.g., medicine management, access to the locked front door, meals, regular and emergency medical and nursing care, etc.) Sandra's vast prior experience made her a whiz at planning multiple simultaneous details. When it was time for my hospitalization, I left with confidence. Then Sandra turned trainer and supervisor. There were maybe a dozen Home Instead employees involved in my wife's care while I was away. My wife liked every one of them (even the ones who woke her up to take pills). My wife was cared for with excellence, reliability, and compassion. We kept two of her favorites (Elizabeth and Rose) to help out on a weekly basis after I returned. Those two have become like family members to us and not only work hard around the house but offer thoughtful suggestions about how we can do things more efficiently. I'm so glad I found out about Home Instead. This group of people under Sandra could not have done better.

  Home Instead has been easy to work with. The Care Pro who is assigned to our home has been a perfect match. She is kind, helpful, dedicated, and very professional. My husband responds to her caring manner and loves the help and attention she provides. We couldn't be more pleased with our Home Care Pro and the Home Instead agency

  I am so grateful for arranging care for my mother with the Home Instead team. First starting with MS. Sandra B. who helped me with explaining and then arranging the services. Meeting with her was such a pleasant experience and she continues to be of great assistance to me in the care of my mother. Having Lynne W. As her care provider has been such a blessing. She has become a wonderful friend to the family. Her care and concern has provided me with comfort. I know that my mother is well looked after. Speaking regularly with my mother, she has nothing but positive things to say about her visits. Home Instead (Honor) has continued to be a great service for us.
