During our appointment, I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than thoroughly considered. I was concerned that the significance of Walker’s birth complications—including the uterine rupture, placental abruption, and declining fetal heart rate—was minimized. While I understand that many children do well after complicated deliveries, there is well-established medical literature showing that some neurological injuries or developmental effects may not become apparent until later in infancy or early childhood. I was hoping these factors would be thoughtfully considered as part of his overall clinical picture. I also felt that my concerns regarding possible seizure activity were not adequately addressed. My concerns are based not only on my observations but also on videos I have recorded of the episodes and his developmental history. Additionally, Walker had been waiting for over an hour before being seen. By the time the appointment began, he was understandably upset, crying, and wanting to leave. During the visit, his vocalizations were described as “vocal stimming.” From my perspective, he was crying out of frustration after the prolonged wait rather than demonstrating his typical behavior. I do not believe the observation accurately reflected his baseline functioning. Overall, I left the appointment feeling that my concerns were not fully heard or considered. I was seeking a comprehensive evaluation that incorporated his birth history, developmental course, the videos of his episodes, and my observations as his parent.

Make sure you get and keep a receipt for your copay. I paid my $10 copay at the office, but they are still trying to charge me for it. Trying to get someone in the billing department to actually address the issue has been extremely frustrating. When I finally got someone on the phone, they seemed unable to explain or resolve the bill. Then I was told to email proof, and after that they wanted me to scan my driver’s license and go through additional verification steps just to fix a small copay issue. This should be a simple billing correction, but it has turned into an unnecessary hassle. I’m leaving this review in hopes that someone from the office or billing department will reach out and properly resolve it.
