Be very careful about dealing with these people. They are located inside LensCrafters advertising themselves as Independent Doctors of Optometry. The girl said my "co-pay" was $39. I paid, then realized I shouldn't have a co pay. I called my insurance to verify this then confronted her that I had no co pay. She tells me their doctors require a co pay for part of the optical exam which is a separate cost. I told her she misrepresented herself stating it was a copay for my exam. She tried to dress it up, until finally I asked her was it optional. When backed into a corner, she then says the alternative is getting eyes dilated. I told her I would report them and to refund my money immediately. She made a face, said okay. She claimed she had to email someone and didn't know how long it would take to get it refunded. I will be doing a dispute if not, but I was so appalled at the deception, that I just walked out.

I was called 10 minutes after my appointment time, and 50 minutes later to see the Dr. Other than that, the store is clean, it has a huge selection of glasses, the store is clean and the associates are very friendly and helpful. The Dr explained in detail my concerns and provided feedback for my next steps to follow.
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What is involved in an eye exam?
An eye exam involves a series of simple but comprehensive tests that allow your optometrist to assess your vision and your eye health. Your optometrist will discuss the results of your eye exam with you and determine the right prescription to help you to see your best.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
