Pause… Brickell? Yeah, unfortunately, no.
This is a longer review, but I feel it’s important to share for anyone considering visiting this location.
I accompanied my boyfriend to this wellness space and was immediately met with a strong upsell of services I had never heard of before. The woman in charge offered to give me a tour and explained the different treatments, seemingly in hopes that I would agree to try one.
I work in health and wellness myself, but I was unfamiliar with some of the amenities and treatments being described. I asked questions because I wanted to understand what I would potentially be doing to my body. Instead of being met with patience or helpful guidance, she visibly became annoyed, cut me off while I was speaking, and then told me I would not be able to do any of the services because there was not enough time.
What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that shortly after telling me there was no time, she offered flexibility and grace to another client who was receiving an IV drip, allowing him to also do a cold plunge and telling him not to worry about the timing.
A lot happened during the interaction, but what stood out the most was the lack of regard for me as a potential client. The experience honestly caught me so off guard that my voice began to tremble from the shock of how I was being spoken to and treated.
I understand that this is a business, but if the goal is truly to build a community and create a refuge where people feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed, then the environment should feel like a haven — not another place where people feel like they are walking on eggshells.
As someone who has worked in the wellness industry, I would never make someone feel the way I was made to feel in that moment. Sadly, this was one of the worst encounters I have ever had in a wellness space.
I do not fit the typical Miami standard. I am not a finance bro, nor an influencer, but that does not mean I deserved to be dismissed, overlooked, or treated as if I mattered less.
Every client deserves to be met with basic respect, patience, and consideration.
