I have previously been seen at this urgent care and have always had positive experiences and good service, which is why this visit was so disappointing. APRN Rigoberto Nuñez was dismissive, rude, and did not listen to my concerns regarding my child’s symptoms. My child was seen for a high fever and severe cough that had already been ongoing for over two weeks, yet my concerns were brushed off and his responses came across as sarcastic and unprofessional. As the parent of an autistic child, patience, clear communication, and compassionate care are especially important to me, and unfortunately that was not our experience during this visit. What concerned me most was the contradictory medication instructions we received. We were verbally told one thing regarding medications, while the discharge paperwork stated something entirely different. When I pointed out the discrepancy, I was told the information on the paperwork was “old” and to ignore it — despite it being included on the actual discharge instructions we were sent home with. Conflicting medical instructions are a serious patient safety concern, especially when treating children. The following day, my child’s symptoms worsened after being prescribed medication that did not appear to appropriately address the condition he was being treated for. I ultimately had to seek care from another provider, where he received a more thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and confident that the information they are given is accurate and consistent. Unfortunately, that was not our experience during this visit with APRN Rigoberto Nuñez.

I am really disappointed with the treatment that the ARNP E Santos provided last Friday to my daughter who is a 17 years old girl , feeling super tired and horrible after being non stop coughing for almost a week , diagnosed with influenza B , she had all the symptoms that you can think of . She could not go to school the whole week . I had taken her to an adult Urgent care on Monday where the Dr prescribed some medications trying to help . she was taken all medications and still no sign of improvement when I decided to take her on Friday to the Nicklaus Urgent Care at Kendall I was told there was nothing to do for her or to make it feel better , that she needed to take lots of fluids and Tylenol and ibuprofen ,, That she had to stopped all the other medications, I respect the opinion of a ARNP of course but a 17 year old teenager is saying that she felt horrible like almost dying , like she had never before With shortness of breath and a unbearable cough Mrs E Santos could not ordered an XRay because the radiation can cause her harm and that she did not have sufficient data to justify it . I just can not believe that we are paying as professionals very high copays to take care of our kids and thereis nothing we can do for them to feel better ?? This the world we are leaving in , It is full of people even Professionals that don’t care anymore , They just say no as a short answer, because it is easier than to work a little harder to provide a better service. I am so sorry 😞 but there is always something that can do better to take care of patients

Dr. Beatriz Jimenez recently took care of my godson and his sister, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her care. She was incredibly thoughtful with her diagnosis and took the time to explain everything in detail, which made a big difference for us as parents. Since it was the first time both children had been sick, we were understandably anxious, but she was very patient, reassuring, and attentive throughout the entire process. What stood out most was how accurately she anticipated the course of their illness—it progressed exactly as she had explained, which gave us a lot of confidence and peace of mind. Her professionalism, kindness, and clear communication truly set her apart. I would highly recommend Dr. Jimenez to any family looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable pediatrician.

Visited due to my daughter having a sore throat. As soon as we arrived, she had her vitals taken and a swab done, and was promptly diagnosed with strep throat. We had the most amazing nurse, Wendy, who took the utmost care to make the (very painful) penicillin G shot as painless as possible, warming the medication, cooling the site, and truly going above and beyond in a way we had not experienced during a previously similar experience. The doctor was thorough, efficient, and very approachable, answering all our questions and making us feel comfortable throughout the visit. Overall, it was a great experience, and we received excellent care from the entire team.
