Beyond thrilled with my experience with Dr. Fitoussi! I was visiting Miami and realized I left all my contacts at home. Dr. Fitoussi & team got me in for an appointment within an hour of realizing my mistake and completed a very thorough exam. I only wish I lived here so I could make this my regular practice! Very grateful for their help and saving my vacation!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Blinking Owl Eye case in 10101 W. Flagler, Miami, Fl (inside Target) was so disappointing that I feel others should be aware.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was unprofessional. The receptionist did not acknowledge or greet me because she was busy doing her nails and removing her cuticles. Her nail tools and supplies were spread across the front desk. Fortunately, another employee greeted me and asked me to have a seat.
After my paperwork was completed, the receptionist took me to the back and asked me to remove my contact lenses and began preparing me for my exam. At no point did I observe her wash or sanitize her hands before handling the equipment. I asked whether the equipment was cleaned after each patient, and she assured me that it was. However, I was the first patient of the day, so my concern was primarily that she had not washed or sanitized her hands after doing her nails and before examining me.
My interaction with the doctor was even more disappointing. He never introduced himself or made any effort to build rapport. He simply asked what brought me in. I explained that my left eye had been bothering me and that I also needed updated prescriptions for contact lenses and eyeglasses. Rather than evaluating the discomfort I was experiencing, he appeared to rely on the prescriptions that had been faxed over by my previous eye doctor and wrote essentially the same prescriptions without addressing my symptoms or explaining his findings.
What further surprised me was that the doctor's desk contained an espresso machine and a toaster. It gave the exam room an unprofessional appearance and did not inspire confidence in the quality of care I was receiving. Instead of feeling like I was in a medical office, I felt like I was in an informal workspace.
By the end of the appointment, I felt embarrassed, dismissed, and close to tears. Looking back, I wish I had left after my initial interaction at the front desk, but I stayed because I genuinely needed my vision checked and hoped to find relief for the discomfort in my left eye.
About two hours later, I called the office and asked to speak with the manager. She introduced herself as Ivonne (Yvonne). While she apologized for my experience, the conversation ended with little more than "I'm very sorry for your experience. Have a great day." There was no attempt to understand what happened, address my concerns, or offer any resolution.
As a patient, I expect basic professionalism, proper hygiene, compassion, and quality medical care. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations, and I cannot recommend this practice.
