This was my first class at Yoga Six. There were 6 other new students besides me, inside a pretty full class. The instructor, Kelly Little, made sure to ask everyone's names, got everyone set up, and made the whole class feel comfortable and welcomed.
She asked what we wanted to work on, and even though our requests were not unified, somehow found a way to accommodate all of us without the class feeling busy or chaotic. The class was a slow flow. Her cuing was excellent. She directed our focus not just to the obvious places we'd feel it, but the not so obvious places too. She gave gentle reminders to be loving to ourselves, but did it in a very human, even humorous way that didn't feel forced.
The class was challenging without being defeating, which for a slow beginner-like flow is hard to do. It's either too hard or too easy, but rarely is it both. I really enjoyed the class.
I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend this studio and Kelly Little (as she said two Kellys work there) to anyone wanting to explore yoga, at any level.
I bought the 3-class pass, and Chloe (at the front) helped me figure out the best "next" class and booked my spot.
Overall, a GREAT first impression! <3
