  Dr. Marie Akers, DNP, PMHNP-BC at SHIELD Psychiatrist is absolutely amazing. She is currently treating my 18-year-old son, and her care has been incredibly patient, attentive, and compassionate. She has never made us feel like we are on our own, and the support she has given our family has been truly incredible. Every time I have a question or concern, she responds so quickly through the Spruce app. You can genuinely feel her kindness, compassion, and professionalism in the way she cares for her patients and their families. As a family, she has given us hope again. She has listened to us, addressed the situation with my son, and helped us navigate a very difficult time with so much care and understanding. Thank you, Dr. Akers, for everything you do and for the genuine care you show our family. We are incredibly grateful to have you caring for our son. I recommend her 200%! ❤️
