I was a founding member and a long standing member. 1. Club Pilates needs to treat their instructors better, they were the only reason I stayed as long as I did. 2. Whatever Shantal did and the instructors added after her, it was not and is not Pilates. Ultimately, the decision of the owners to cater to people who don’t know what Pilates is prompted me to cancel my membership. Funny enough, Shantel got what she needed and has now left to start her own (NOT Pilates) Pilates Studio. Full circle moment for me.

I joined two months ago and I love it! I originally signed up for the 8 class pack but quickly upgraded to the unlimited. The atmosphere of the studio is positive, inviting and clean! The ladies at the front desk are also very friendly and after a couple weeks remember your name and get you checked in as soon as you walk through the door, and they make sure to say goodbye to you on your way out. Very small detail to note, but really shows they truly care about their members. The classes are booked through the Club Pilates app which is pretty easy to use. The classes do tend to book up pretty far in advance as some other reviews have mentioned, and that’s where the unlimited plan helps to get the most out of your membership as you are able to book 60 days out. In my experience though, the waitlists move pretty quickly. Even if you’re 6th on the list you may still get into that class the day or two before, or sometimes hours before the class. I’ve also checked a few hours before a class that I wanted to do and have been able to book a spot last minute. There are plenty of class types to choose from that work with my 9-5 work schedule and it has been doing wonders for my back and core strength after a back injury last year. Some level 1 classes can be instructor specific and easier or harder than others so you will have to be consistent and try different classes/instructors and decide what works for you. Each instructor I’ve taken a class with has been very accommodating with injuries and other conditions and they start every class with the request to let them know so they can make modifications to your workout.

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Club Pilates Lake Mary. I arrived 10 minutes late to class for the first time ever as a single mom juggling three jobs. I understand policies exist, but instead of any understanding or flexibility, I was not allowed into the class. The manager, Bella, handled the situation. When I asked to cancel my membership, she was smiling with a grin and informed me that I would be charged for an additional month. The interaction felt dismissive and lacked empathy, especially given that this was my first time ever being late. Being turned away from a class I paid for and then told I would be charged another month felt excessive and punitive. Fitness studios promote wellness and community, but this experience felt rigid and transactional. Unfortunately, it left a very bad impression. Also, Bella initially refused to provide me with proof of cancellation. I had to insist that she at least send me an email confirming it in writing. As a paying member, having documentation of cancellation should not require pushing for it.

I signed up for Club Pilates because I wanted to try it out and see if I liked it. I purchased an 8-class membership for $159.99. Unfortunately, I only attended 4 classes because the experience was not what I expected. The instruction style made it very difficult to follow along. Many times the instructors were laying down and exercising with the class, which made it hard to see the next movement or routine. For beginners especially, this was frustrating and confusing. When I decided it wasn’t for me, I attempted to cancel through the app, only to find out that cancellation is not allowed through the app. I then called to cancel and was told I had to provide a 30-day notice, which essentially forces you to pay for two months, regardless of whether you continue attending classes or not. There is absolutely no 30-day trial, despite how the membership is presented. I spoke directly with the general manager, Bella, on 12/10/2025, yet Club Pilates has continued attempting to charge my debit card. On 12/15 at 7:19 PM and 7:22 PM, they tried to charge my card $159 twice back-to-back. I also now have an unauthorized charge of $20 dated 12/13/2025, even though I have not been there since November. To make matters worse, they are now threatening to send my account to collections for services I never received, while I am unable to use the 4 remaining class credits that I already paid for. This experience has been misleading, stressful, and incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend Club Pilates to anyone unless you are fully aware of their restrictive cancellation policy and aggressive billing practices. NEVER AGAIN.

The manager, Bella, might be the rudest least helpful person I've ever met. Be warned. Watch you credit cards after you visit.
