  As a 65 year old disabled.Vetetan who lives with chronic pain, my physical limitations are numerous and debilitating. Ferrum has not only taught me how to train for longevity and strength, Kelly is teaching me how to train to alleviate the pain and work on the areas surrounding the problem areas. I feel so much stronger, which mentally, has helped my confidence in training, while also supporting my long term goals of sustaining strength flexibility long term. The emotional and physical support have been amazing. I am so looking forward to aging gracefully, embracing any challenges that may.arise!! An incredible group of people truly driven by their mission, vision and values! Thank you FERRUM!!!

  One year ago, I finally took the advice of a good friend—thank you, Larry Selzo—for something he had been encouraging me to do for years: join FeRRum Athletic Company here in Jacksonville. Like many physicians, I lived the reality we rarely admit openly. A demanding schedule, constant responsibility, caring for thousands of others… and neglecting the one person who matters just as much—myself. I care for 45,000 children and their families, lead a team of 130 at Angel Kids Pediatrics, yet for years, my own health took a back seat. Not intentionally. Like many people, I tried. I joined gyms, went through the motions, but without structure, guidance, or a sense of belonging, it never lasted. Eventually, I convinced myself that this was just how life had to be. It doesn’t have to be. One year later, the transformation is real: My mobility has gone from severely limited to fully restored Chronic back pain is nearly gone My strength and energy are back—even at 57 My mindset, leadership, and daily interactions have all improved And the impact goes beyond me—my family, my team, and even my patients feel the difference. This didn’t happen by chance. It happened because of the incredible team at FeRRum Athletics: Coach Lydia—your dedication and one-on-one commitment made all the difference. Coach Sherry, Coach Andrea, and the entire team—thank you for creating an environment that truly supports growth. If there’s one message I want to share with anyone reading this: Don’t wait. The difference between starting today versus next month—or next year—is life-changing. Your health, your energy, your longevity, your happiness… they all depend on that decision.   Andrea is amazing and very knowledgeable about functional movement! She walked me through how my joints and mobility can improve or hinder how my body performs! 10/10 absolutely recommend.

  I've been working with Lydia for a year and am so grateful for her expertise and coaching style. She is passionate, knowledgeable, and not afraid to push me past my comfort zone.   This gym is truly something special! Every single person on the FeRRUM team is incredibly knowledgeable and responsible when it comes to curating a training plan that addresses YOUR specific needs and restrictions. We all have different fitness goals, but what is so refreshing about FeRRUM's approach is that the overall goal is to build strength for longevity in a healthy and supported way. I love seeing all ages in this gym. From teenagers to post menopausal women, all are welcomed and educated on how to move their bodies. The owners Andrea and Cheri are incredible resources and have intentionally designed the client journey to walk every individual who walks into their gym through personal training to ensure proper movement patterns. This is the kind of attention and care I want in a provider every time. My trainer Kelly worked with me on my goals and cleared me for group class in a month! I highly recommend everyone to join FeRRUM
