My experience at the YMCA has been beyond what I expected. The facility is so clean, welcoming, and family-oriented. More than anything, it feels like a true community where people are supporting and encouraging each other while working toward the same goal of staying healthy and active. I’m really enjoying being part of it. My daughter’s swim teacher, Miss Lucy, is absolutely amazing. She is such a professional and such a sweetheart. She works incredibly hard while still keeping a smile on her face. Her patience, warmth, and dedication do not go unnoticed. God bless her heart! I’m also getting ready to start swimming classes myself. You probably wouldn’t believe that I’m from an island and somehow don’t know how to swim! 😂 But I’m confident I’m in good hands and will learn. Before starting my swimming classes, I had the opportunity to do some trial training with Andres, and he was amazing. He is professional, patient, humble, and knows how to push you in a gentle way that motivates you to give your best. If I were ever looking for a personal trainer, Andres would definitely be my choice. And I have to mention the front desk staff. I don’t remember the name of the wonderful lady who helped me, but I will never forget the experience. Everyone I’ve encountered has been professional, welcoming, friendly, courteous, and helpful. One day, I approached the front desk but noticed the ladies were busy, so I decided to step away and come back later. I didn’t make a big deal about it. But one of the ladies actually came looking for me around the pool area because she wanted to make sure I had been helped. When she found me, she apologized and said she thought someone else was already assisting me, then asked how she could help. That touched my heart more than she probably realized. She didn’t have to look for me. I was perfectly willing to come back later. But the fact that she cared enough to make sure I wasn’t forgotten made me feel seen, cared for, and special. Sometimes, it’s the smallest acts of kindness and attention that can mean the most to someone. That experience reminded me how much genuine care and kindness can encourage a person and make a difference in their day. Thank you to the entire YMCA team for creating such a wonderful environment. I’m grateful to be here, and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with my family. God bless everyone who contributes to making this place such a positive and supportive community! ❤️ Nickeisha Steer (the Steer Family)

We workout about six days a week using the weight room and cardio. It’s good enough for what we need. Newer machines would be great but what they have works. Lots of classes going on all day and people seem to enjoy them. Better than sitting in a couch. Come on in people and get your body moving! Very affordable for my family of four and being retired Army.
